Nice food, nice view but $28 for a basic salmon and salad is a bit pricey for a 'go and get it yourself' meal at table service prices. Not to mention with kids running around. I was rather disappointing as I was expecting something a little more classy.

Ordered the $99 seafood platter for two, bottle of pinot blanc recommended by the restaurant and a damper. Very happy with the quality of the food and wine. For $99 I expected a more sizable quantity of food for two as after the bread and platter (and wine) we had room for dessert (but decided to do this elsewhere). Nevertheless, we'll be back but will probably choose another main course next time as we've now used up our Entertainment Voucher - and won't pay full price for the platter again.

Pretty bad coffee. Pretty average service. Average food. Nothing yuck but nothing to marvel at. It'd not an expensive place to eat which is a bonus. We've been here several times - you'd be better off at the Subway a few shops over.

Ate here last night and loved it. Everything was outstanding.
Complimentary bread (Delicious). Olives and chorizo entree (Yum). Beetroot/ cheese entree to share (Exquisite). Beef cheeks and eye fillet main (Outstanding). Honey pears + Creme Brulee dessert (Wow). Great wine, lovely food which leaves you feeling satisfied and not ripped off!
Nice dark restaurant (I like this, my man doesn't though) and warm inside. A bit noisy but acceptable.
Service a bit slow, took an hour to get our mains. Dessert and coffee came pretty fast though! We'll be back!

We went here the other night and ordered a deli pizza, a nutella pizza and a rocket salad.
Yummy pizza but they put oil on the base of the pizza (as in, the bottom under the crust) so it's tasty but very oily and I prefer my base crisp and not dripping of oil. Not the best but not the worst pizza in Chiswick. I'd eat the Deli (i.e. prosciutto) pizza here again but I'd order it minus the oily base!
Nutella pizza. Very plain, just a thin sliver of nutella and some thin slices of strawberry. Would have been nice if there was some ice cream or something on the top just to make it seem more indulgent, so it was thin and simple not too filling and a nice way to finish dinner.
Restaurant is old school Italian looking with red and white checkered table cloths. Very cute looking. Had some music playing in the background which was ok. Bit cold in the restaurant and I wore my jacket the whole time as a result.
Bonus though, it's a local and BYO and with an Entertainment Voucher well worth the trip. We will be back.

Not my favourite Thai in Newtown but still nice Thai. Been a few times. Restaurant gets busy so it's a bit noisy but a good place to catch up for an informal dinner. Nothing absolutely outstanding here but it's always a decent feed, good sized meals, good flavours and no real reason not to go back if you're a local.
Response from Management:
Hi aerobixangel, thank you for your review and look forward to seeing you again.
Hope we could impress you a bit more next time :-)

We ordered $13 Haloumi, a mixed grill ($29) and a $12 Turkish Icecream. Haloumi was Tiny. 4 small pieces!
Grill was big enough for one (just - I honestly thought it would be bigger) but for the quality you're better off going somewhere for a decent steak as there was nothing on the plate I couldn't have done at home myself. Small thing of lamb, one rissole (meatball?) a couple of beef and chicken cubes and a nothing special garden salad and rice.
Icecream was Tiny, three small scoops (not even all the same size, one was barely a tablespoon sized scoop) and definitely nothing Turkish or special about it. When I pay $12 for icecream, it had better be Awesome or Massive and this met neither criteria.
It is a pretty looking restaurant but ruined by the serving size of the food and the waitstaff in tracksuit pants. Oh and being sneered at when I produced my Entertainment Voucher was enough to guarantee that I won't be back despite enjoying what I actually ate.

Delicious desserts - try the mars bar cake - or the macaroons! To die for!
I had a strawberry caprioska from the place next door (don't know if it's the same place) but they make a mean cocktail there (better than Fox and Lion)! It's a shame Fix Studios is kinda deserted as I think this place would be a very popular little cafe if it were elsewhere!

Went there last night, no booking but were promptly seated.
We ordered: Pretzel (yum), Side Veg (decent serve), Chicken schnitzel, Oven baked schnitzel, Pork belly. We asked the waitress to confirm that the schnitzel was chicken breast and we received thigh fillet, not a big deal but still.
Have ordered the pork belly several times, my advice is to ask the chef to make it extra crispy, one time I came here and had to send it back as it was a bit soft and unappetizing. I appreciated that the salad that came with the oven baked schnitzel was large, so often a side of salad is a few leaves and a drizzle of dressing but not here.
Food is not gourmet but it's honest and yummy and you're bound to leave full and satisfied. I'll be back. Oh, and make sure you're not sitting near the back door. As people leave the restaurant the door tends to stay open and it can get a bit chilly in there!

The food is ok but for the location of the restaurant it's definitely over-priced. And it's not BYO.
I ordered a veal-herb crust main (the $34 one) and they brought me the wrong one (the $26 one). When I brought this to their attention, they took my plate and brought me another with different sides but it was clearly the same piece of meat and did not have the veal 'crust' I paid for - just had a sprinkle of herbs on it. Then they charged me $34 for it!
Desserts are average at best. Pizzas are nice but for $23 you'd expect a decent feed and they're only filling enough for one person. After that, I won't be back.
