Our night at Movida Aqui was great. The food had plenty of character and was fresh (as always). Service was also top-notch, there was always a waiter visible and were also very attentive to our queries.
Since this was my second visit to Movida, I decided to try one of our favourite dishes (the Bomba) and was left slightly disappointed. In comparison to the Bomba we got in the past, this one was much larger and didn't give a wholesome 'bomb' of flavour that we got when we first tried it. In saying all this, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the sea urchin dish special (the 'Erizo'). The bill totalled to around $50 per head but we were more than satisfied with our dine here. Highly recommended!

I was slightly disappointed with this restaurant and was expecting something a little more for a restaurant situated on Lygon Street. The menu itself seemed a little 'borish' and gave off vibes of a general lacking of true 'Italian' food. The food was 'ok' at best, I thought the gnocchi could have done better with more sauce and salt. In saying all this, the portions of each dish were quite generous (especially the pastas).

I didn't have enough time to enjoy a sit-in at the chokolait hub, but my take away drink was just as exceptional. The iced jaffa (dark chocolate) drink which I ordered had just the right amount of orange and sugar to balance out the flavours and was just the right 'pick me up' when I braved the Melbourne rain outside. Will come back for more!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was absolutely fresh and full of flavour (while a common dish, I absolutely loved their beef nasi nemak). Service was quick (same goes for the time taken to get the food on the table) and to top it all off, it only costed around $50 for the two of us (my partner and I) to eat until we could not eat anymore. Highly recommended place if you're eager to try some awesome Malaysian food.

If you don't enjoy lining up for 30 minutes while watching other patrons eat food, I would suggest that you give this restaurant a miss. There are several seating 'booths' available at this restaurant and for this reason, it also explains why the seating numbers are so poor and there's a constant line at this restaurant.
Food was decent, what was lacking was made up with their prompt service. This is a good restaurant but could probably take on more customers if they did some smart arrangements of seating.

Anyone that knows a thing or two about yum cha would probably think twice before coming here.
The food is bland at best, meat is tough and not fit to eat and to top it all off, the food was served warm at our table, not hot. The seating/table arrangements were done very horribly so: staff members pushing the pushcarts often forgot about making their rounds to the people sitting at the centre of the yum cha hall (that was us).
For some that found their way to us, the seating arrangements are done so awkwardly, they had trouble putting the food on the table and ended up spilling the food all over my sister's lap.
From all this, you can probably tell that the service wasn’t the best (they managed to do a good job on clearing empty plates on our table though). Not recommended.

There wasn't that much food varieties as I expected, but overall, I was satisfied with my dine here. The buffet area was being constantly replenished, and waiters were quick to take away your old plates before you returned back to your table.
The seafood area was 'ok' (though I would have given a better rating if they had cleaned the oysters properly). A couple of my favourites during my dine here was the crabs and creme brulee that I had as my finishing dessert.
Great buffet place to go for dinner.

This is a Chinese restaurant that seems to have a specialty in… well, everything. I came here as a group of 3 to try out the newly opened restaurant and was taken by surprise by the range of foods they had to offer (including but not limited to: BBQ, Seafood, Dessert and..yum cha for dinner? – they were still serving it at 9pm when we left).
While we did not order any yum cha dishes (overpriced and most probably frozen stuff), we did order various mains from the menu and were quite disappointed with the lack of consistency of the dishes. The wonton noodle soup we had was totally bland and the soup tasted like the product of noodles and hot water. Our 3 type BBQ meats dish was "ok" at best, with the bbq pork being the most disappointing since it was tough to eat, and consisted of 50% hard fat. And lastly, our black pepper beef dish was so salty, we had to drown the meat in water before eating.
I had high hopes for this restaurant since it allowed patrons to sample a large variety of Chinese food in one place but left feeling utterly disappointed since they could not get anything right (even the hygiene of the bathroom). Waiters were attentive but seemed to lack waiting skills.
While the value was just “ok” since our group had a $10 discount coupon, I will not be coming back to this restaurant again.

Came here with my partner for a quick dinner on a Thursday night. Place was quite busy but service was fast. While their menu looked absolutely stunning, their menu range was lacking, and food also tasted quite average. My partner and I ordered a total of 7 dishes (which includes 2 mains) and were charged roughly 25 per head. We were very filled and even had leftovers.
Ok restaurant all in all. Wouldn't mind coming here for a quick lunch in the future.

I had below average expectations when I came here, but I was completely blown away upon my arrival. The interior and ambience is superb, and the only two things that could have possibly faulted this place is probably the service and to a slight degree, the food. I came here for dinner on a Sunday night and there were two waiters (not including the manager) serving four tables. In saying this, the service picked up as the dinner progressed and more patrons came.
We ordered a set menu for four people and added two mains ontop (crab and chicken main). The crab tasted a little bland but the most standout dish would probably be the fish that we had in the set menu. Not including the desserts (we had 2), we were charged approx $34 per head for a 7 course meal and we were so filled we had plenty of leftovers.
This is a great restaurant which packs alot of potential and is great value. I was only here for dinner but noticed they have an all you can eat yum cha special for $16.80. I wouldn't mind coming here again.
