A group of us went here for after work drinks and dinner last week and we won't be going back. Not only are the staff rude, but the food was oily, tasteless and poor value. To make matters worse, when using the toilets there were 2 cockroaches in there and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Clearly looking at the below feedback, we weren't the only couple to have experienced this pathetic encounter.

The girls and I had a wonderful time here! We had the Chef's suggestion board as entree (a selection of cold meats, cheese, dips, olives etc) and mains we ordered pasta, or the ocean trout. Dessert was affogato.

We had such a great experience with the waiters, always very helpful and attentive. The venue is a little noisy, so it's great for a night out with friends or group bookings, may be a little too noisy for a quiet dinner for 2.

I would definitely keep going back here, especially as the value is great as well. Our bill came to $185 for 3 people, all having had 3 courses and alcohol as well.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here last night. We had a nice time and seemed to have enjoyed ourselves. We had the 'Hot and Cold Seafood Platter for 2', Greek salad and a bottle of wine.

The staff were quite attentive, the food came to our table in good time and we always had a waiter topping up our glasses. I don't think I could fault the service, however, the platter itself wasn't as good as in the past. It seems they have changed a few of the items on the platter and the hot seafood was pretty greasy and luke warm.

I did appreciate that when it started to sprinkle with rain (we sat outside), the awning started to come down to cover all patrons in speedy time. Would probably dine there again, but wouldn't do it in a rush.

My boyfriend and I tried this little cafe after a day at the beach. It's location is perfect as it's across from the beach. I wouldn't rave about the food, very ordinary especially as there are several other cafes next door to it that you could choose from. Service was pretty good, but would definitely try the other cafes surrounding it next time before we'd go back here.

Like the previous person, I had visited this cafe with some high expectations after hearing great reviews. All I can say is this cafe is highly over rated. I ordered something as simple as scrambled eggs, bacon and toast with an OJ. The eggs look liked they had been made in a soup kitchen and the bacon was re-heated from something they prepared earlier.

The part that previous people write about tip top stale toast is 1000% correct! The waitress could hardly speak English and our coffees were stuffed up too. I honestly would not visit this place again, especially considering there are so many other cafes open in the area for a Sunday breakfast.

My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner here for something different. The service was below standard, as the waitresses spent most of their time chatting and left us waiting for about 15 minutes before taking our order. It was also annoying when we tried to get their attention to order additional drinks throughout our meal.

The food is ok, but nothing I would recommend. If anyone was after German food, I'd be more inclined to recommend Una's at Darlinghurst. I also think that it was way over priced for what we got. Chicken schnitzel, Pork knuckle, 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine was $120. Quite expensive for a pub. I don't think we would return again.

I took my boyfriend there for a late Sunday lunch and drinks and we had a wonderful time. The service was friendly like always, however, sometimes they do make mistakes with orders at the Bistro when they get busy (but always quick to fix). The atmosphere is fantastic, beautiful verandah over looking the water.
Perfect venue for something casual and not too expensive for a lazy afternoon/ dinner in Spring and Summer!

The chain of Doytao Thai restaurants is fantastic! The food is definitely the best Thai I've ever had and the atmosphere is great! The staff are very friendly and very quick with service. No mistakes here! The food is well priced and I always keep introducing friends to this restaurant time and time again. After 6 years of dining here, the place is something that is well embedded into the community.

Great little traditional Italian, family run restaurant. My boyfriend and I turned up on a Saturday night with no reservation, hoping to grab some dinner before we headed into the city. The family was very friendly and accommodated us with no drama.

They did make a small mistake with the pizza we ordered, but realised the mistake before we did and discounted our bill to compensate. We will definitely be back there again as the food was very tasty and the service was great.

Having read the reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner. The service was pretty good and the staff were quite quick and friendly, especially considering how busy the venue was on a Saturday night.

We both ordered the beef skewer and specifically asked for the meat to be cooked 'medium-well'. The meat was served rare and at some stages, you could even see the blood (which turned me off my meal). After advising our waitress that the meat was quite under cooked, they offered to bring complimentary tea and coffee for the error, but that never arrived.

We definitely wouldn't return to this restaurant, especially as there are far more restaurants in the area to choose from. The worst part, was that my boyfriend ended up having very bad stomach cramps that night and couldn't sleep, due to the under cooked meat.
