Firstly the look of this place is a deal draw in. My girlfriend saw the lovely outdoor dining area with pond fountain and decided to eat here. We chose to be seated next to the fountain, this made for a wonderful setting!

The waitresses were happy to seat us and take our order. Drinks came out quickly, and entrees followed soon after, which were simple and delicious! (bread with olive oil and balsamic and meatballs) I have to say how impressive the meatballs were, flavoursome and reminded me of traditional Italian cooling of my grandparents.

Mains came out not to long after, they looked really delicious and I was excited to taste them. My gnocchi looked really appetizing with the melted cheese adding color to the cherry tomato sause. It tasted amazing! It was full of flavoursome, I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful! My girlfriends fettuccini bolognaise looked great with plenty of meat, it was full of amazing flavoursome just like the meatballs.

Dishes were very filling, we could have stopped here, but being somewhat of a romantic evening we ordered dessert. Desserts were fantastic, they took maybe 15-20 minutes to come out but that was done to give us time to digest and make room for it.

Service was generally very good. I really enjoyed the fact that both of the waitresses were Italian and had a lovely accent, it added a sense of authenticity to the place. Though this was a slight problem when my girlfriend asked to describe one of the desserts she was unsure of. She couldn't explain it very well in English using basic descriptions, not really giving a good picture. I found it cute she offered to explain in Italian.

The price was fairly good for what we ordered: 2 entrees, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Totalling $84.

I really enjoyed this restaurant for its wonderful authentic Italian food and feel. It often reminded me of nonna's cooking flavours when I was a boy many many years ago. This is definitely the best I've had since she passed away.
My girlfriend and I left very happy, and would definitely return next time we are in Sydney. We don't understand all the negative criticism here.
