This place is a welcome addition to Manly. Visited last night with my Wife and 4 other friends and had a great night. The food was excellent (which was surprising), the cocktails delicious (apparently!) and the wine and beer good. Wine was quite pricey, although I didn't choose it so it could have been what was chosen by those drinking it.

Service was excellent and unobtrusive, and the decor was really different but very upscale beachside which we all liked. The crowd was late 20s to 30s which made a nice change for Manly, and the guy on the decks played lots of old school music which got the crowd going. Will definitely be going back again, but will stick to beer and wine so as to not blow out the bill like last night.

Sea Star Cafe and Restaurant, Warriewood

We had a family dinner there on a Saturday evening and despite ringing to book a table only 15 minutes before arriving the friendly staff made room for us. Definitely book if you can as space is limited.

Food was delicious, although I have had better peking duck. The spring rolls were without doubt the best I have ever had, so full of shredded meat and vege's and not at all oily, obviously homemade.

Love that this place is family run with jobs for local school kids, service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again.

What an incredible view! We took interstate friends here for a meal a month or so ago and had a wonderful night. The food was fantastic, the staff attentive but not over the top, and the atmosphere was great (although it was noisy so an intimate dinner wouldn't have been ideal).

Will definitely go back for another meal when we have other interstate or international guests visiting as the location/view is the reason to choose this restaurant above others!

H2O Cafe Restaurant, Narrabeen

We live locally, and for a long time we would take all visitors here but recently it seems to have gone downhill a bit. Had both dinner and breakie here within a few weeks and both were disappointing. Chai tea and banana smoothies are good, but the risotto I had tasted salty and burnt (not a good combination) without a lot of other flavour.

The location is gorgeous but I think the kitchen needs to step it up a bit if it is to compete with the other local restaurants/cafes that are doing their bit to provide good value dining by the lake.

Had a great night with friends here overlooking the lake at Narrabeen. Took our own champagne and wine so evening was substantially cheaper, and we had a couple of entertainment vouchers so that also kept the cost down. Delicious steak and seafood, although salt n pepper squid too salty for the 3 people who had it. Great local restaurant, and good sevice.

Berowra Waters Inn, Berowra Waters

We went for a wedding a year or so ago and the food was phenomenal, as were the wines matched to the menu. Obviosuly the ambience of the place was different as we were there for a wedding, but the views and open nature of the restaurant would leave you hard pressed not to enjoy the restaurant no matter!

Planning on going back with my parents as a special treat soon, on a hot summers day there would be nowhere better to while away a few hours.

A great local restaurant that caters very well for kids (we have 2 young boys). Food is consistently good and very well priced. Love that the guy that owns it, is always there making sure everyone is happy. Service is always fast too.

My wife and I took both sets of parents here for a night out and it exceeded expectations. The food was as good as I have anywhere, the majority of us having steak or fish. We found it to be very good value at $75pp, however, we did have 3 gold entertainment cards with us, so that helped bring the price down. The wine selection is also wonderful.

The only thing that let the experience down was the service. I found the staff to be a little disinterested, and slow with drinks orders. Will definitely go back again!

Guillaume At Bennelong, Sydney

My wife and I visited Guillaume for our anniversary last year as a special treat. It was recommended to me by a friend that eats out in the city for work all the time, so I knew it had to be good. All I can say is, thank God I took my credit card! It is very pricey, but the food was delicious with a view to match. That said, unless you have a table right near the window I don't think you can truly appreciate the beautiful position of the restaurant.

Service was better than ok but not great, with us waiting some time for the wine to arrive, which was absolutely mindblowing by the way. Excellent for a special occasion but worth requesting a table with a real view.
