We went to this restaurant based on the recommendations of a friend who is in the industry, and we were not disappointed. The pizza's are well cooked - thin based with minimal but fresh toppings, just the way a pizza should be - true italian style. The wine selection is very good and for 4 people the total bill was around $180 which we thought was good value. Try the chocolate fondant and tiramisu for dessert, you wont be disappointed. This place is a must visit for pizza lovers.

The degustation menu here is fantastic and great value for money for a 2 hat restaurant. We were both pleasantly surprised with the size of the meals and the sommelier was spot on with wine selection. Thank you Assiette for a great night, we will be back!

Blue Angel Restaurant, Darlinghurst

This is our 2nd time back to this fine establishment. If you are a keen lover of lobster, then this venue is a must visit. The restaurant is also well known for their 9+ grade of waygu, but I am not a fan so I will keep my comments purely on the crustaceans!

The marco polo signature dish is fantastic. The owner comes to your table and cooks it right in front of you. Thrown into a pot are fresh ingredients and a generous splash of white wine. The lobster is cooked in accordance to weight, this way it does not become dry and is very moist and succulent. At the last moment, fine angel hair pasta is added and tossed around to absorb all the juices. The result is a fantastic fresh dish which we demolished.

To finish of the night we had the flambe strawberries, again which are cooked at your table. Throw in a great coffee, fantastic service with a smile and your night is complete!

Dined here on a busy friday night and could not have been happier. From the moment we walked in we were looked after by a lovely waitress who attended to all our needs. The lemongrass skewers and spring rolls were divine, followed by a lovely curry which just had the right kick. Our last dish was the BBQ fish served on a bed of banana leaves, although the dish was very hot, the spices and texture of the fish were nice. This is a very good restaurant and will definitely be back soon to sample some more!

The pizza and pasta are very good here, the pizza's are very thin and have a great base, its a place worth checking out.

This restaurant is tucked away downstairs from the main bar and I must say it's a great little find. The tapas entree was fantastic, a little bit of this and that, (depending on season), just to get the tastebuds rolling.....followed by the most amazing snapper for our mains. Dessert was again outstanding although by this time we were full to the rim !!!

Overall the staff are very attentive and are polite, nothing was to much for them, it's just the little things such as filling your glass of water when not asked makes this dining experience very special. We will definitely return with friends.
