Went for a casual sunday dinner and was very pleased. The fish was fresh and the service pretty fast. The batter on the fish was pretty light and the fish wasn't drowning in grease. I thought they were a little light on the chips but they were crispy and good and since no one was hungry at the end, the serving size was about right.
The flavoured salt on the fish and chips was really good as was the vinegar in a bottle so that you could use as much or as little as was to your taste. Add to that licensing so that you can have that beer with your fish and it's definitely not your local, greasy fish shop.

By now anyone who has a voucher is probably warned off, which in my opinion is reasonable. We went for Saturday Lunch and had vouchers. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. And our vouchers included drinks, specifically cocktails which cost about $12 each. You'd think if that was the case, the wait staff would be more than happy to substitute a mocktail or a soft drink instead of the cocktail but no.
The voucher said 2 cocktails each, so that's all they would serve us, unless we ordered something extra. Apart from that annoyance, which was pretty big, the service was lackluster, and often slow and there was no feeling of welcome, more of imposition. I'm told Limor's used to be good but in their location with that attitude, I really don't think I want to go back for a second chance at supposed greatness. You blew it, Limors.

At the end of our meal, my friend and I looked at each other and asked the same question, what did they do right? Unfortunately, the list of what was done right was rather short. We had the 'Crab and Waygu menu' on a voucher. So going through the menu let's look at it.
The flaming No. 1. Special is good and tasty but if they don't blow torch the top of it enough then it is cold on the inside, as mine was. It looks flashy to cook but it's not that difficult. I can't even remember the daily appetiser and the hot mushroom salad was good, it was one of the few good things. The sashimi was old. It was tough and it was not fresh. It may have been cut that day but it had not been done in the last hour so the salmon was that dull washed out colour and the kingfish was grisly.
Alaskan crab was okay but served in the shell? Really they shelled it and put that on the plate as garnish which made the entire thing a bit messy. The sorbet was okay and the wagyu was also good but came with a single asparagus piece and one mushroom. Then they served garlic rice, what was the point. Garlic rice by itself? It was filler. A gesture to say opps, let's fill you up now. But all I felt was "yuk, shouldn't I have something to go with this?" Dessert was okay but the miso soup was simply standard.
Service wise they rushed through the first few courses then we were deserted left wondering what was happening. It was very disconcerting. The cooking was very flamboyant with everything that could possibly be flamed, flamed. But at the same time, they deliberately cooked away from some of the groups. And the delineation was quite interesting.
I like Kobe Jones, I really do. But for a place that wants to be an upmarket teppanyaki place in Melbourne, it fails on so many levels. Go somewhere else for decent teppanyaki as you might get less flashy cooking but you will get far better value.

This was a delightful surprise! A friend and I went on a voucher but we were a bit pushed for time. The staff were great with accommodating this and rushed the meal through as fast as possible. And without doubt this is one of the best lemon lime and bitters I have ever had! I was seriously surprised when I took a sip at how sweet yet bitter the combination was! The food was good, the drinks were good and the staff were helpful. It really is just a nice little place to get together.

Had lunch on a Groupon deal and was very impressed. We had two courses and drinks. Service wasn't overbearing and the food was lovely. The portion sizes were great too, especially compared to what you would get if you were in the city. Bruschetta was beautiful, crispy bread and oh so yummy tomato and vinegar topping. The pork medallion was wonderful and the salmon steak and peking duck pancakes were delicious as was the fish that day, which was whole baby snapper.
For dessert, the chocolate fondue was great and the ice cream turine was firm packed but sweet and yummy. The only downer of the day was the pouring rain. The views are great and you should allow yourself time to look in their nursery shop but it was a great experience out of the city.

Food was good, service was decidedly sub-par. Waiters did not respond to requests, except where they were made several times and eventually, after having a main course and asking for but not getting the menu back to pick a dessert we left.
Price was okay, not brilliant though. Vegetables were good, and the other dishes we had were good too but the lack of attentiveness to smaller details and the sheer arrogance of the head Waiter in 'finding us a table' in a mostly empty restaurant detracted from what would have been a pretty good experience. We didn't have a booking but they need to keep in mind that we could see the tables and we could see exactly which tables had reserved signs on. And there was plenty of space.
The attitude was that he was doing us a favour finding us a table. No sweetie, we are doing You a favour by eating there. Despite the good food, I won't be eating there again.

The food was good, I will grant that, the service was the Worst I have Ever encountered. We were a group of 9 on a Sunday night and they were busy but not packed but we still had to do everything short of raising battle flags to get the attention of the staff. They were too busy on their mobile phones or talking to each other.
They began bringing the main course out before clearing out the entree dishes and when we wanted either some more water or to order drinks then several of us had to make a Lot of attempts to get attention. Maybe because we were a larger group. No one came to ask us if we wanted to order dessert and ordering coffee was a pain.
Good food will get you so far, but the service completely annoyed many of us and the food wasn't so good that you enjoyed the complete disregard of the wait staff. Get take away if you want, then you don't have to put up with insipid service.

The food was good but the wait for it was long. On a Sunday night they were busy and, perhaps, need another chef because it took us about 3 hours to get three courses. Others seemed to get food quicker too. If you are after a leisurely dinner, the wait isn't so bad, but if you want something quicker, you probably need to let the waitstaff know.
The food was good but the waitstaff need a bit of work. They were sometimes aggressively inattentive and it was odd, when the food arrived, we would get almost all the plates but then there would be a 4-5 min wait on getting just the last few dishes and I was a little disappointed to find no crispy tacos. Still the spicy food was that though a true lover of really hot chilly. The décor is rather gaudy but that's not too bad as the mural is interesting.
Nice food and if the service improves then it would be great. Don't get me wrong, the service wasn't shockingly bad, it just could be improved.

Went on a voucher which was limited menu. Food was okay but not brilliant. Service was better, very attentive, possibly even over attentive as some pressure was applied to order extra drinks.
I definitely had buyers remorse at my beef dish as the cut of meat used was inferior and fatty. The others had king prawn and chicken which they reported to be lovely. Mine needed rice.
Over all good, but I don't think I'd go back, it just wasn't good enough. Dessert was good - the ice-creams were nice.

It's actually a surprisingly small restaurant and the main order is definitely the $28 all you can eat. On our table of 7 everyone had that and we did have to request a few top ups but those arrived in good speed so it wasn't too bad.
They could have been a bit more at tentative on the ordering and about drinks and stuff like that. Every time we wanted something we had to signal especially but I think they were a bit under staffed as the Head Waiter looked a bit grim.
Tasty food but pay attention to the cooking because it can get smokey!
