Went here on a voucher for 6 courses and a glass of wine each, or actually 3 courses with with 1 course composed of 4 items (salad, scallop, oysters, ox tongue).

Despite previous reviews, this is certainly a fine dining restaurant and if there is a bistro which serves the quality of food here, I would like to know about it!

I do not think the "tasting plate" respresented full servings that they have on their menu as per their website. So in this regard, the stated "value" of the voucher was grossly inflated.

Tacky decorations which remind me of a Hong Kong nightclub in a Bruce Lee film actually bring charm to the restaurant if appreciated. Ox tongue melt-in-your-mouth soft. Scallop pan-fried just right. T-bone steak every bite juicy with a crust on the outside. Barramundi fillet generously sized with crisp skin.

In saying this, for $30 a head with the coupon, for a fine dining experience, with perfectly executed food, certainly good value. Will definitely be going back for their regular menu.

Have been here multiple occasions, previously at least monthly visits. Service hit-and-miss depending on which staff are on the floor at the time. Quality of service drops dramatically during peak service times. Current restaurant manager to be applauded, however, promptly resolving issues.

Food improving since first opened, certainly great value for fine dining within the Casino. As mentioned in previous reviews, need to lift their game and make something special of themselves. Bistro 80 does not rank when compared to all the other offerings in the Star, from the new food court, to the new restaurants, to the hawker-style Fat Noodle within the casino grounds.

Needs more variety with their breakfast buffet (particularly to compete with our other Asia-Pacific neighbours), has not changed since the closure of Astral and the transfer down to Bistro 80. Book ahead.

Excellent, authentic Thai food. "Asian hawker" style seating and service follows. Prompt but business-like service (even on a public holiday). Recommend the boat noodles (and bring a handkerchief!).

Excellently cooked meat, simply made and presented, nothing taking away from the quality of the meat and perfect cooking. Interesting concepts with food coming into fashion in the Sydney food scene. Ambience romatic at night, business during the day. And can't forget, the toilet upstairs is fantastic! However, without specials quite expensive considering other offerings in the casino and CBD. Somewhere to consider for a special meal, take your time.

Excellent date or business venue. Great variety of interesting flavours and textures, simply but beautifully presented. Ambience dark but not quite cosy enough for an intimate evening, plenty of noise transmitted from other tables. Service clean but impersonal. Certainly a place to try for a special occasion. Gorgeous food not easily found elsewhere.

Excellent food, pleasant surrounds, and a warm welcome smile. A "family"-run business, doesn't fail to impress. Generous portion sizes. Pancakes to die for!

Here with a voucher and could not fault service, food or the fantastic coffee.
Starting with coffees, smooth, creamy and aromatic. The big brekkie and eggs benedict were both well thought, presented and taste matched. Portion sizes were generous. Service was quick and very friendly. Left very happy. Despite being out of the way for us, will return for sure!

Here for the spreets voucher. Solid service, perfect portion sizes, good availability of on-tap Japanese beer and beautiful view and decor.

Food was nothing special, especially considering the quoted "value" of the 7 courses. However, good value with the voucher and all dishes reasonable.

Would come back on a voucher, but otherwise authentic Japanese food of better quality can be found elsewhere, although, perhaps, not with such a well thought-out dining space and view.

Fantastic. Perfectly baked bread, fresh and well-thought ingredients, and deliciously balanced sweet treats. Lots of potential for a slow sunny arvo. Service was friendly and efficient. As with any place with lengthy ques, worth the wait, and locals and visitors alike certainly know what they are doing. Cash only.

Fusion experience, Kooky design, I like the cat. Fantastic experience, not fine dining but delivers perfectly on contemporary fusion Asian, and price reflects this. Drinks are slightly expensive. A must-try.
