I have been to Japan a few dozen times and I know what good ramen should be like. This is not definitely one of those that an average Japanese would consider good. Besides, the service was horrible. While I was waiting for my friend, the waitress came twice within 5 minutes to ask me if my friend was really coming. Then she even asked me to move to sit at the bar and I refused. I will never return.

I live in the neighbourhood and when I can't think of anywhere else to eat, this is where I go. The friendly service is the reason why I return. However, my friends don't want to go there during the Chinese New Year as the dark paint is not an auspicious colour.
Response from Management:
Thank you and welcome back after Chinese New Year :)

I like this cosy family restaurant a lot. The food is always fresh. You feel like you are eating in one of those small suburban restaurants in Japan.

We were very disappointed with our experience. There were four of us and we ordered the seafood banquet which was $42 each. The waiter who took our order didn't say anything or explain to us what the menu included.
In fact, there are options for the entree and main. The food came one by one and soon they were all on the table. Then the dessert came but it's too sweet and most of us barely touched it. I remember the menu on the website included tea/coffee but I wasn't sure. We asked one of the waiter whether it was included and he said "yes". After a couple of minutes, he came back and said we could either choose dessert or tea/coffee. We told him we were never given a choice when the dessert was served.
Then another waiter came and said tea/coffee was not included. That's fine but what about the entree and mains? Again, we were never asked to choose. The waiter (or the senior staff?) said we never told him what we liked to have and that's why he just served whatever he had. Can you believe it? When there are options on the menu and the customers haven't voluntarily inform them the choice, should they at least have the decency to ask?
