We bought one of the daily deal vouchers for Lime Street which offered good value / made it worthwhile but, had we visited without one of these, we would have been very disappointed.
Firstly, the service. I rang up to book a table for 2 (as per instructions - no internet bookings) and was informed there were no tables available whatsoever for over 6 weeks! Errr this isnt Aria?!! I then booked online and there was seating available for every time slot that night. Issue over. When we arrived, the waiter was pretty surly and generally seemed over his job. Service was then very slow and you made to feel you were putting them out by asking for an occasional drink or two.
The food was quite underwhelming as well. As we were on a voucher it wasn’t a concern but if we were paying menu process, we would definitely have felt short-changed. It wasn’t a disastrous meal, just a little bit average – nothing to really recommend.

I have been on numerous lunch / evening cruises with Rhythmboat and, so long as you do not expect fine dining / beautiful surroundings, then you have a great time. It is a relatively budget option to cruise around the Harbour but it offers great value. The entertainment onboard is always 'entertaining' - we have seen magicians, salsa dancing, rock bands, comedians et all and it is always good fun. The food is pretty standard buffet affair but the most recent cruise it was a plated 3 course meal which was surprisingly good!
People have been discussing the poor quality of the food - if you intend to go on a harbour cruise purely for the food, then book the other operators at circa 3x or 4x the price. If you want to have fun with no pretentiousness, then get on Rhythmboat.

We had viewed numerous reviews for Glass Brasserie and had high hopes but did leave feeling a little disappointed. Service was generally great - attentive and knowledgeable but we did not feel the food was the gastronomic delight we have seen on reviews. Not that it was that bad at all, just not great.
For example, I understand salt & pepper whitebait is going to be salty, but oh my word was it salty! The daily special (ribs) were overly fatty in my opinion but the smoked mash potato with it was a winner! My partners steak was requested medium and arrived overdone. We had read reviews regarding the 'amazing' truffled fries but we found them underwhelming - they resembled McDonalds fries just with a coating of parmesan & truffle oil. Maybe we are just fussy, not sure. Or ordered the wrong ones. Not that I am much of a wine drinker myself, but the list was epic - I am sure it would please any distinguished palate!
I mentioned previously about 'generally' good service - it was. However, after finishing mains, our plates were not collected for a good 30mins, not the end of the world but we just wanted to get the bill and get out at that point. Bit sloppy.
Saying all of this, there was a buzzy atmosphere and numerous group tables who seemd to be having a wonderful time. Maybe we just lucked out with the food this time around.

Maybe we went on a bad day. Or, alternatively, they take far too many orders for what they can cater for at one time and service/quality suffers accordingly. After a wait for 1 hr for entrees which was flagged at the counter to arrive as a starter (i.e. for entrees and mains to come seperately!), everything came at once.
Not the end of the world. However, one of our mains had been sitting there for 20mins - we know this as we were keeping an eye on what food was coming out as we were starving! Anyway, we took the starters and requested mains come out 20mins later which they did. However, it was exactly the same plates just put on a heat plate, salad and all.
Honestly, it was a disgrace. The only thing that was hot was the green salad! The mash had effectively been grilled solid and everything had wilted or congealed. And they were happy for this to leave the kitchen! The only saving grace was the embarrassment of the lovely girls behind the bar who acknowledged quite how bad it was. At least that suggested it may have been a one off, but am unsure on this myself.

All in all, 'okay' but below par. We had the a la carte menu rather than buffet (which wasn't on night we dined) and it was far from delectable cuisine really. Not terrible, just not great. Not much thought put into presentation, temperature wasn't great, overpriced for what it is. Tasted 'okay'. The waiting staff were all smiles and (mostly) efficient (they forgot our salad bowl though, not a bad thing though, read on) so the drinks kept flowing nicely.
One thing I found amusing though was, upon asking for 1 side salad, "who is the salad for" "oh we will share it" "no you are not allowed to share, it is a buffet salad so if you both are to eat salad, you have to order 2" "If we see you both eating salad, we will charge you".
I personally felt it was verging on rude but received the kick under the table so let it be. They forgot to bring us the 1 salad plate anyway so not a concern. The table next to us got busted infact, the poor chap only had one bite and got stung with an extra salad. Quite amusing actually, they got told off!
I personally think you are better off going somewhere else and eating 3 course dinner with wine is $50/head and honestly, wonderful! We have dined there numerous times and it is a pleasure.

I am quite a frequent visitor to the Hart due to it being my local and, on the whole, it is really quite good! Nice and homely, The Hart provides top notch brewery beers and the food is always wonderful. I frequented it prior to the re-furb and, whereas there was not much physical change (literally a lick of paint I think), you can tell it has been wholly revamped.
The main problem I feel are the prices, circa $10 a pint and main meals $30+. I feel they could also provide a great variety of food options as 'quick snack' and proced accordingly. You are able to buy a ‘tasting paddle’ of 4 beers for $10 which provides better value (it is literally just a taste though, not overly generous serves!). I must say it was great at the Hart through the Ashes Series when they were doing $5 beers through game time, honestly, if that promotion was on more often, you wouldn’t get me out of there!
