It's a great space to dine in. Intimate and sophisticated. Those big windows at the back are a lovely touch. The wine list and the flavours of the food are good, although the portions really are Tiny. I love it as I go to a wine bar to pick as a little something with a glass of wine but my husband, who is hardly a big eater and is quite used to fine dining portions (this place is a bistro though and not fine dining) hates it as he doesn't like to leave a restaurant hungry, particularly a little local wine bar. The meatballs were excellent. The service is friendly and professional but slow.

Go for the dessert but only for the dessert. It's the best in Sydney. The 'Gaytime goes nuts' made my night. The savoury dishes were interesting, if a bit hit and miss. I love that you can pick and choose your own degustation although the number of 'very good but not quite excellent' dishes did make us feel like we could have enjoyed better value going elsewhere for dinner and coming later in the night to eat dessert at the bar.

When you add all those little $30 dishes up, it's one of the most expensive restaurants in Sydney and I think the number of 'misses', as well as the Ok but not great ambience and the Ok but not great service did not warrant the prices charged.

I regularly meet friends here and I love the ambience. The wine list is good and the service is friendly, if a little slow. The restaurant upstairs produces good food, although the menu seems to follow food trends rather than produce much that is imaginative, so I didn't feel that the degustation was worth the effort, although it wasn't too expensive by Sydney standards. They could use a few more people on the floor both downstairs and upstairs although those they do have are professional.

A favourite. The ambience is intimate and relaxing. Service is quite personal for a heaving wine bar. The cheese is great. The wine is good (made better by the waiters who consistently take an interest in what you like and make recommendations). It's a bit pretentious (no sign on the door. It's been done) but despite my cynicism I have to admit that it does feel 'cool'.

So bad it's good. I challenge anyone not to have a fun night here. It's all sloppy tex mex food, strong tequila, kitsch but awesome decor and tacky music. Charming service. Brilliant.

Beppi's has lasted so long because it has all the fundamentals right. Excellent, personal service, fresh, interesting food and great wine. You could pretty much eat anything on the menu and pick a winner. The seafood beauty pageant is a nice touch and means that I always change my mind and get something fresh and delicious. The wine list is flawless. Beppi is charming. Such a nice, faithful little haven. More of these in Sydney please!

Average. Would have been a top restaurant in the 80's but now it looks tired, mass produced and boring. The produce is not particularly fresh. The service is good as are the views. The wine list is again pretty dated. Wait times are long. This is the sort of location that could be anything with a bit of effort. I'd run the razor over the kitchen staff and start again.

Why? This place is hopeless for fresh fish, it's fish and chips are hardly anything special, much less the best fish and chips in the universe and it's Such poor value. Drummoyne is 10 minutes from the fish markets. Why on earth is there a line up out the door for this overpriced, average seafood? Also, cash only. Weird.

Good little take away joint. Decent pho and vietnamese basics. Light and fresh. The service is pretty miserable but as I only use it for take away I don't mind as it's fast and good value.

It's an RSL club with restaurant prices. It has that hollow RSL feeling and it looks cheap. The food would have been decent in the early 90's but Sydney has moved on. Great for coeliacs. Good views and decent service.
