I went here for lunch on a Tuesday and was plesantly surprised. The menu was varied and interesting and the staff attentive. What impressed me most was the chefs willingness to make me the meal I requested. I basically constructed my own dish, due to various things I don't like or can not eat. I will be back! My friend had the Peanut Butter Cheesecake for dessert which got the thumps up from her!

My husband and I did a day trip up the coast and had lunch here on Sunday. We were both extremely hungry when we arrived at 2pm and thought we would have missed the rush and be served pretty quickly. Not the case! My husband ordered a Mango Smoothie, which unfortunately was the pail colour of yellow/orange and tasted only of icecream and milk. Not much mango in there! So we waited and waited. I even watched another table recieve meals before us, even though they arrived after us! I eventually asked if our meals where on their way and they came, around 45mins later. Both meals where good, not great. I had the zuchini fritter open burger and my husband had the smoked salmon and eggs on a potato roti.

About 1/2 way through my meal, a terrible side of potatoes arrived which was to accompany my meal. We didn't eat them. At the end of our meal the owner came over to us and personally apologised for the delay and told us they had a new person in the kitchen. She insisted on us not paying, but I couldn't possibly not pay or to take a voucher to come back. In the end we agreed to take some desserts home with us, on the house. All in all, I think this cafe has a good thing going, they just need to smooth out a few issues and work on perfecting there food. I really appreciate the apology for the wait and it goes a long way in my eyes. The Lemon Meringue was pretty tasty too!

I came to Toko with a group of friends on Friday night. Arrived around 7.30pm and the place was full. The wait was 90mins, so put our names down and went for drink and waited for the restaurant to call us when a table was ready. All in all it was a great dining experience. The Soft Shell crab was a highlight and the Scallop signature sushi was amazing. This is a restaurant with a buzzy vibe, its a pretty loud venue and is not easy to have a conversation with the next person down the table. Would definitely return.

I went to Lucio’s with my Husband and his parents 2 weeks ago to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. It was a Saturday, booking for 7 pm, and surprisingly the restaurant was very empty at this time, its pick up around 8.30 and had a bit more of a buzz.

Upon entry you immediately notice the restaurants Art work and character and it makes for a good talking point even if you are not in to art! On the whole our experience was pretty good, but I didn’t feel the restaurant lived up to its 2 chef hat reputation. The waiters were far too attentive, and made me feel very uncomfortable, standing always a couple of metres away and constantly circling the table.

At one point, I actually turned around and said we are Ok, you don’t need to linger! I don’t feel there is no need for our glasses or water or wine to be topped up after a few sips. Now to the food. I had the duck which I thought would be a winner at this restaurant, but I was very disappointed. There was something about the flavours that didn’t work and didn’t make it enjoyable. I didn’t finish my meal, and thought I might as well save room for dessert.

Having said that, my father-in-law loved his Lamb dish and mother-in-law and husband both got the Pasta special, which they raved about! The meal ended on a good note, with desserts enjoyed by all. Nothing out of this world, but all yummy. A small plate of biscotti and mini cheesecakes were also presented to us at the end of the meal.

The only reason I would return to this restaurant is to try one of the pasta dishes, apart from that, I would be happy to have a new dining experience at one of the many Italian restaurants in Sydney!

I travelled to Balmain for breakfast for Sutherland on Sunday morning, and the 50mins drive each way was worth it! A booking on a weekend is advised or you will be sadly disappointed when turned away. I had the most amazing French Toast and my husband had one of the Tagines which he also enjoyed. I am looking for an excuse to go back and try all the other amazing looking dishes that kept floating out to tables around us. To top it off, the coffee is also very very good!

I regularly come here for coffee on a weekend and agree that this is one of the best little cafes in Cronulla. The only problem I have is sometimes its not hot enough. When it hasnt been they have happily given me another one, free of charge. They have just extended the shop, making it a bit bigger. For breakfast on Sunday I indulged in the Apple and Raisan Bircher Museli, with Yoghurt and Cinnamon and enjoyed every mouthful. They also have a lovely selection of cakes, tarts, and you can buy cheeses, deli meats and gourmet products. Worth a visit if your in the area!

I don't often have chinese, so when I decided to get takeaway, I did my research and read some reviews. I thought I was happy with the feedback for Lucky Dragon, but I as wrong. The fried rice and dumplings were average and the Honey Prawns would have to be the worst I have ever had! They were undercooked, and they did not have the golden crisp appearance you would expect. I will not be returning.

My husband and I had the Degustation dinner on a Saturday night to celerbate my birthday. The restaurant had a nice buz and level of excitement, and a lovely vibe.

We had a very friendly waiter who related to us well and actually made our night relaxed, funny and more enjoyable. There were a few hiccups along the way, but actually made our night better!

The staff were more than happy to let us both change the dessert, as the designated one was not something we would enjoy. My husband got the matching wines, which for $50 is definitely worth it.

All dishes were visually appealing, tasty and a good size, not too big or small. Neither of us walked out feeling stuffed, but we were very satisfied. Stand out dishes would have to be the Maron and the Wagu Beef. I am not a big red meat person, but the Wagu was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. l look forward to Summersalt releasing a new degustation menu we can't wait to return!

I went to Sea-level for the 5th time on Saturday night. Every other time I have been here I have ordered the seafood platter. So this time round we were determined to order and try something different!

I must admit that on entering the restaurant we walked past several seafood platters that looked very appetising! But we didn't regret our decision. 3 out of the 5 diners ordered the Duck. I have eaten Duck many times, and I thought this duck was cooked nicely, the sauce complimented it well and the meat was nice and moist with a slight crisp on the skin. My fathers Sirloin looked and tasted equally as nice and was cooked as request, medium rare.

The other main dish eaten was the chicken, which, unfortunately, was a little dry. Personally I feel the menu is your typical Mod Aus menu. There was nothing on there that stood out as a "must try" dish. But what I liked about the menu was that the dishes are perfected, done well and are a good size. We all had dessert which also didn't disappoint. 3 of the 5 diners ordered the chocolate 3 ways which I highly recommend!

The basil and white choc brulee was an interesting dish with an amazing flavour. My mothers profiteroles were delicious, lovely pastry with a smooth warm custard on the inside and plenty of chocolate sauce. The only let down with desserts was my fathers Banoffee Pie. He did enjoy this, but compared to all the other desserts was about 1/2 the size!

Service is always friendly, prompt and professional. Attention to detail with filling glasses with water/wine and the staff updating us on the progress of the meals always goes a long way. This combined with great food in my opinion is what separates sea-level from average and puts it at the top end of restaurants in the shire.

We went to Sunny Harbour after also reading it was voted no 1 for yum cha. However, we had dinner here and it was a night or highs and lows. We were seated promptly (without a booking), but orders were not taken that quickly. Although this is an Asian restaurant, there were a few problems with speaking English and communicating. We ordered the steamed prawn dumplings for entree.

We were not overly impressed, the dumplings were too doughy. We got the Mud crab in Ginger and Shallot, which was the highlight of the meal. As you would expect the crab was brought to our table live for our approval before cooking. We couldn’t fault this dish, it was tasty and delicious! We had a scallop and vegetable stir-fry which was a generous serve and also enjoyable.

Our rice never arrived, however, we were still charged for it! Only $2.50, so nothing to be to disappointed about. We didn’t wait a long time for our meals, but general service was a let down. I don’t think Sunny Harbour is very concerned as every table was full of Chinese which speaks for itself (we were the only non Asian diners). We would go back based on the outstanding Mud Crab.
