Great value spot. The Laksa is great and very popular. This is a budget spot, don't expect great service or fine dining ambience. Just good food, turned around quickly and at a good price. (I actually prefer it for take away as the Laksa travels well and stays reasonably hot until I get home).

I haven't had any bad experiences here and I have particularly enjoyed their Massaman curry, but it has been a while since I have been and after reading the reviews here I will definitely have a very critical eye next time I go back.

I have been to Sammys many times over the years and always found the service and quality (given the price) to be good. Ironically, my dining companions and I rarely go anymore because it is usually so packed with people that the noise level makes it difficult to carry on a conversation! If that is not a problem for you then I would reccommend it. But if you're hearing is not what it used to be or you are with a soft spoken person then somewhere else would suit better.

A group of us go here from time to time. Would go more regularly but it is of course a bit pricey. We love it. Over time it has proved constistently good. Service is great, food is delicious etc. Pretty much ticks every box and I would highly recommend it. Suggest in particular the Crispy Shantung Lamb.
ps the desserts are a bit marginal, choose careully!

I have been here a few times. Good value, service, presentation and range for the budget conscious. What I particularly like is that the food is so obviously freshly cooked, not kept in warming trays out the back and dished up after a short period to give the impression that it has just been cooked. Would highly recommend.

Just had breakfast here. How to get bacon and eggs wrong. The menu item 'crispy bacon' was anything but crisp. I suspect just wacked into a microwave on a browing plate for a minute. Poached eggs and latte were nice. Service was fine but when I complained about the bacon the young guy should really have discounted the bill or at least say 'I will inform the chef' rather than a mumbled apology. Had an evening meal here once before. Pretty ordinary.
