This place is a real find ! The food is just exceptional and genuinely Vietnamese.(must try the Banh Xeo - pancake entree) Every dish that came to the table was beautifully presented and most importantly, brimming with classic Vietnamese flavours. The restaurant is busy and buzzing but not too loud and the family who run the place (& wait tables) are humble and eager to please. One of the most memorable Sydney dining experiences I have ever had !

I have eaten here less often than I would like, mainly because I don't live in the area but also I want to try and discover other fantastic Indian restaurants.

These guys get it right! Their food is excellent, the atmosphere is great for couples or groups and they are really attentive to the customers. Still top three in Indian dining experiences in Sydney.... no doubt!

Ironbark has some really good pizzas, with the bonus of a full gluten free pizza menu. Pasta and salads are also tasty and the place has a nice little local atmosphere. This is good local Italian style dining, nothing super fantastic but worth a visit, and nice that it's out of the hustle and bustle of Manly.

I have been to Vamps perhaps 8 times in the last 10 years and each time is a complete pleasure.

Owner Tony waits on tables and is friendly and engaging year in year out. The food is french bistro style, very tasty and just what you'd expect from a tiny corner bistro on the streets of Paris.

The atmosphere is intimate which makes it perfect for couples or small groups and a-la-carte and fixed menus (very french) are both available.

Traditional French Onion Soup, steak, Duck in orange and Crepes Suzette are all must orders and this place is just superb because of it's simplicity !

In a city where restaurants are trying to out create each other with cutting edge techniques, go back to Vamp's for down to earth, simple French food in an intimate and homely atmosphere.

Let's be realistic and say that there are two types of Indian restaurants in Australia - those that cater to the "Aussie" palate and those who serve specifically traditional Indian dishes, not necessarily catering to the local (resident's) tastes.

Ashiana is definitely the former and their entrees, naans and curries are all excellent, however "westernised" I have been coming here for around 8 years and in the Northern Beaches area I haven't found another Indian restaurant that offers great, food, value and atmosphere all at once !

Definitely worth a visit with a group of friends or a couple. Please see former review by English ex pat who gives it a big thumbs up. Must be worth a trip.

Fantastic, authentic vietnamese food served quickly. The traditional noodle soups (Pho & Bun Bo in particular) are worth the trip to Chatswood alone. This place is casual so don't expect restaurant style dining but is certainly one of the best inexpensive options for lunch in Chatswood.

Jellyfish offers a very pleasant dining experience at the mid level price range. Great location opposite the beach and nice ambience about the restaurant, complimented by the friendly but not familiar staff.

The food here is always great and in winter their signature slow cooked lamb dish is a must. I never leave disappointed or wanting more from the food or the experience. BYO also a plus.

It's worth noting breakfast is good too but all restaurants in this little strip are packed and busy at b'fast, dinner recommended!

This was my absolute favourite restaurant in Sydney until the change of owner 6 months ago. Pre November 2010 the restaurant was owned and managed by a charismatic chef who loved food.

Now it is run by a business man who displays little care for staff, food or customers. The one thing this place has is location, you feel like you may be in the Mediterranean with the ocean lapping at the wall just a few feet away.

The food always takes ages to arrive, often goes to the wrong table and then once delivered is quite ordinary to say the least. When in Manly, do yourself a favour and spend your money on one of the other many fine waterfront dining experiences.

As a Manly local I have had the pleasure of dining here around 10-12 times in the last two years. Without fail the restaurant delivers excellent fresh food, a great atmosphere with view and attentive staff, with the added bonus of BYO!
The only downside is that it's a little pricey for what you get but I'm not complaining. Can't go wrong with Garfish.

This place has a great location but sadly, that is it! The senior staff/waiter was a little rude and the food was Very ordinary for the price. If the reviews below believe this is a traditional Greek experience, I beg to differ (after traveling to Greece 5 times in my life). The Greek salad was filled with lettuce, had Danish fetta and cost $16, that sort of sums up this place. Don't waste your money!
