We went here on a Tuesday early evening with our 5yr old twins. There were not many diners, but plenty of dirty tables, it looked pretty unpleasant. We found a clean table and ordered 2 pizzas and a selection of tapas. The tapas were pretty yummy, and good portion sizes (we tried the Chorizo, Calamari, Onion Fritters and Scallops) but I would give the pizzas a miss, they had very thick bases and were very doughy and not much flavour. (but if you like your pizzas that way, then go for your life!).

There was a guy playing the guitar upstairs and he was great, it created a good atmosphere. We were also here on a Sunday arvo a few weeks ago, and there was a funky band playing upstairs, the place had a very cool feel to it.

I will go back for a few wines and tapas on a Sunday arvo sit outside for a great view of Lake Ginnenderra, and watch the (Canberra) world go by.

Went here last night for dinner with another couple, a small place with a relaxed atmosphere, full when we arrived at 7.30pm on a Saturday night, A quick scan of the other patrons, and everyone seemed to have a smile on their faces.

In a nutshell, the food was Great, portion sizes were generous, and great value for money - BYO wine and beer ($1 corkage) makes a very affordable evening. Plus, ample free parking at the Florey shops is an added bonus. My husband and I always half half our food, to share, so we get more of a taste. We had the cauliflower and the prawns to start, both delish, but my favourite was the cauliflower. Our friends had the prawns and the soft shell crab (which was huge!). Both enjoyed the starters very much.

Mains arrived after a short rest, The John Dory for me (Divine) and the duck for my husband, again, both very generous portions. Our friends had the duck and the chicken, which they also enjoyed very much. The duck was nicely cooked, but a bit sweet for my liking (the lychees were too much for me but my husband loved it) the John Dory was perfectly cooked (crunchy skin on the outside, beautifully cooked fresh on the inside) with a gorgeous red curry sauce.

A complimentary lychee sorbet after the mains was a nice touch. We chose not to have dessert, as we were all pretty full. And at $90 per couple ($45 per head) Fantastic value for money. I will be back here for sure. The only thing which would enhance the experience is to have the dishes more set up to share. I much prefer to share dishes to get a taste of everything, than have one dish to yourself, but having said that, I was reluctant to pass the John Dory over to my husband! I would have been more than happy not to share that!

Thanks Morks for a lovely dinner. See you again soon.
