We tried this place when most other nearby restaurants are booked out. The staff were friendly and very attentive. One advice, order the Pizza! The dough is amazing and ingredients were very fresh. One of the best I've ever tasted! However, I wouldn't recommend any Asian dishes as they are greasy and boring apart from the portion is generous.

The services were good and fast and prices are reasonable. For the conveniences, vacancy and Great Pizza, I will go back time and time again!

Dumpling King, Box Hill

After a friend of mine raved about their dumplings I decided to give it a go on this Friday night.

From the window the restaurant looked clean and appealing for our family of 4 so we went in just before 9 pm for a late dinner after a long day. After we were sitted no one came over for us to order drinks for over 10 minutes while the place wasn't even busy by then. Finally, the waiter took our order then within 2 minutes our 1st dish and fried rice arrived with lightning speed!

The waiter took off immediately without any serving spoons and we couldn't get a hold of anyone for 5 minutes, how do you serve rice without spoons?! It was very frustrating.

Overall our dishes were very ordinary, the Mongolian Lamb was loaded with fermented bean paste, Peking Duck was full of fatty skin and their famous Beijing dumpling was way too salty! Not to mention I ordered steam dumpling they served me Fried dumpling, but I decided not to make a fuss and just let it go.

After 15 minutes into our meals, the waiter informed us the kitchen is closing in case we needed to order any dessert. That was fine till another waiter brought the bill soon after and disappeared again before we could hand him our credit card. We soon decided to go ahead and pay at the register, just then another waiter immediately and magically appeared at the door and eagerly escorted us out of the door just before 10pm because they are ready to close.

We were so so So disappointed at their appalling service and definitely will never go back there. Would you?

Great place for lunch, very affordable, a very pleasant casual dining experience. Great value! However, the 2nd time I visited it with my family for dinner, food was mediocre and quality was cheap as its price. For that I might as well have frozen dinner at home. May be they changed to a different kitchen staff?
