Food was good. We had the amitriciana, napoletana and prosciutto pastas and soft drinks. Waiter got the prosciutto mixed up with puttanesca but he apologised when the mistake was pointed out. In a few minutes the correct dish was brought out. They welcome children but it's better if your kid can sit up unaided as I don't recall seeing any highchairs.
Wish I tried the coffee, after reading other people's comments!

Had a Maranello pizza, a spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread between 2 adults and 1 little kid for weekend lunch. It was plenty. Pizza was tasty, pasta was good but sauce a little bit on the tart side. My kid must have enjoyed it, he ate 2 cereal bowlfuls of the pasta.
Food was good, was glad when the staff changed the music to some latin stuff. I'm not keen on pop music during my meals.

Been here 3 times in the last 2 months. I've had the battered fish and the grilled fish of the day. The battered fish is good, but the grilled fish is so tender and flaky with a nice herb mix scattered over the top. Good value and good fish.

Came here on Friday night. We had booked a table which was probably a good idea as the place is quite busy and noisy.
The service was prompt, no problems there. Wait staff looked a little disinterested but we were served, and had our meals delivered efficiently. We had the Giro Italia, which is a serving of cannelloni, a serving a schnitzel and a portion of lasagna. It tasted Ok.
We also had a osso bucco which was a Huge serving. 3 pieces of beef osso bucco and heaps of potato, carrot and celery plus 2 slices of bread. It was the size of two mains. Once again, the taste wasn't bad, just nothing to get too excited about.
The kids bolognese looked Ok, but the pasta was cold when I tasted it 15 minutes after it was served. Maybe the sauce was warm. My son ate it anyway.
Perhaps, the osso bucco could have been half the size and half the price and I would have been more enthusiastic. I prefer veal osso bucco to beef osso bucco. Price was Ok for the amount of food.

Pleasant cafe. Good food. I had the Risotto Imola, friends had the veal, spaghetti marinara and bocconcini salad and it was all poslished off. Toddler finished most of the lasagna. Prices were moderate, about $18 - $25 for a main.
I'd come here again if I was in the area.

Had fish and chips for lunch here a couple of times. Friendly and efficient service. Salad and fish are fresh. The opening hours are reasonable. Sunday is a day of rest for some people.
Note Feb 2012 : My husband ordered takeaway from here 3 months ago. He was given the wrong order and found out when he got home. The food he was given was definitely less than the order he's paid for. When he rang up Hooked, the manager and staff tried to make out my husband had answered to the wrong order number, when in fact the waitress had called out his number and given him the wrong food.

I read some reviews about San Churro's in other locations, and can't say I had the great experience at Chatswood as other diners.
I showed my Entertainment book voucher to the guy who took my order and he told me bluntly to wait until the end of the order before presenting it. Was he trying to make me feel cheap for using the voucher? When I asked for a mini chocolate milkshake he told me the item didn't exist, until I pointed it out on the menu.
I also ordered an iced chocolate and a parfait. When the iced chocolate arrived, I wasn't given a spoon and the chocolate in the parfait was a congealed lump. The table was not cleaned when we sat down and the waiters kept walking past and not doing anything about it. Never going back.

Was here last week for lunch. The fish and chips and potato scallops look good but something is lacking in the flavour. It might be the oil used for frying. The oil used is advertised as being healthy (which it probably is), but doesn't have the full bodied smell of greasy fish and chips I remember as a child. I dislike the birds hanging around the cafe.

2 Adults and 1 toddler arrived for lunch 2 weeks ago at 11.40am on a Friday. We were ushered to a table immediately. No waiting. My child was given crayons and paper to play with which occupied him for a while.
The complimentary bread was great, different varieties were provided. Great olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. We ordered the ricotta ravioli and arrabiata pasta for entree and they were both great. The ravioli sauce was buttery and rich. The arrabiata had crunchy breadcrumbs on top which provided a great texture.
For mains we had the baked fish and veal saltimbocca whcih we both enjoyed. My child had the child's lasagna which was polished off without any fuss.
Good macchiatos - strong, not burnt. Wait staff very good.
