There are so many good things I have to say about Pastabella that I don't know where to start. The food there is consistent, always fresh and simply delicious.

The pasta is handmade by the very talented chef and it is undoubtedly the best I've ever had. My favourites are the chilli prawn fettuccine, lasagne, soft shell crab risotto and the big breakfast on Saturday mornings. Their panna cotta is light and melts in your mouth. I'm always thinking about the next dish I'm going to have at Pastabella!

In terms of service, I couldn't ask for better. The staff are friendly and tend to all your needs. It is a small and cosy place with a very homely feel to it. I love the open-concept kitchen, definitely a special touch to the whole dining experience. Overall it is a very well rounded restaurant, good food, top notch service and comfortable ambience.

I absolutely love the beef tataki, it is the best I have ever had and the special home made sauce is sensational. The gyoza dumplings are always fresh and crispy and not soggy. Sashimi is always fresh and the red bean dessert is a must have!

Service is always pleasant and the place is small and cosy. Definitely one of my favourite eating places!

Had dinner for two and it cost us $70. The food was average, I've had more genuine thai food in Sydney. Service was appalling. We went to the counter to pay and the waitress slid the change back to us across the counter without even glancing up or acknowledging us. Will never go back.

At Thai riffic we always pride ourselves on a high level of service and customer appreciation and satisifaction, recently as the restaurant manager we have conducted a service and food questionnaire with various customers, and the overall feed back has been very positive. We regret immensly that your experience was not positive though we do ensure you that if you were to revisit the restaurant the experience will be much more positive.

In regards to the authenticity of the food thai riffic newtown is based on traditional thai cuisine though due to the demographic of the restaurant the food has been modified in order to appeal to the wider range of customers.

I am a very fussy eater and I have been frequenting this restaurant for the past 5 to 6 years and this is definitely one of my favourite places.

The beef luc lac is full of flavour and the beef is always tender. The tomato rice there actually tastes like tomato rice and not just plain rice that looks red. Salt and pepper prawns are fresh and they are always generous with the servings! Another favourite is the lemongrass chicken. The mint and lemon drink is a must have!

I love the newly renovated decor, the red lanterns and pink walls creates a delightful ambience. Quality of service is rather inconsistent and is probably the only area that needs improvement. I always look forward to my next meal at Saigon Saigon and I will definitely be back again soon!
