I'd prefer I wasn't raving about Makoto because the evening queues are bad enough already! But nowadays whenever friends and relatives visit Sydney and say they've heard it's a great sushi town, I take them to Makoto, admittedly we wait ages because being with tourists, we Have to sit at the bar only. Bloody good sushi, cool jazz music and the green tea creme caramel always wows the newcomers!

In my top 3 restaurants in Sydney: you really need to visit nepalese kitchen, it is an institution, I have literally eaten there at least 50 times in the last 10 years. you'll love it!

Very enjoyable, classical Italian food in a sublime village location just 5 minutes from the city. This place has been going forever and I love that it's the same owner with the same dedication all these years. Bit exxy but then he's got the reputation, the history and the sense of occasion to match.
