Picked up the lamb shank pie this morning and a chocolate croissant this morning. We have been here a couple of times and also tried the sausage roll and some pastries. I must say the pastry is great.

The only problem is that 50 percent of the time items are overcooked even burnt, when they are not they are very tasty. But paying 7.50 for a burnt pie is not fair or the other items which we have received. I would say just watch what they put in your bag. At these prices items are so so.

Was very disappointed by this restaurant. We decided to dine here on a Saturday night, booked a few hours ahead.

The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived. They only offer the fixed price 3 course meal at $58 per person. All the food lacked flavour and I think I could do better at home. The creamy mashed potato, was far from creamy and had lumps and no taste.

At a total bill of just under 150 dollars a very disappointing dining experience. Even with a coupon I wouldn't return here.

Rockpool Bar and Grill, Sydney

Had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. From the moment we walked in the door the service was great. Offered a drink straight away and while we choose from the menu, we started with wagyu sliders, instead of an entree, beautiful mini burgers.

The steaks were cooked to perfection, as you would expect. We had a side of onion rings, which I would ordered every time we go back, loved them. Also had a side of steamed green beans, also great. The Sommelier was very good, suggested a great red for our steaks, bit lighter than I would usually order. But to be honest perfect matched to our food and a better choice than I would have made.

It was also a reasonable price given the restaurant. Finished off with a couple of coffees. Happy to say it has restored my faith in fine dining after having been less than impressed with a recent meal at Marque.

We go here for lunch a lot, both eat in and take away. They have about 15 dishes to choose from and starting at $6.50 you can't go wrong. Service is fast. Food is consistently to a good standard. The place is always busy but if you can't get a seat you can always walk up the road to the other restaurant, that also gets busy but have always been able to get in one or the other.

Great traditional style pizza and pasta. We have had many excellent meals here, we would average at least once a week. Service is fast. Great food for the price, 1 large pizza, 1 pasta and salad for 2 and drinks for under $40.00 great value. Only problem is that it gets so busy you need to book to get in, but also does great takeaways and is open for lunch too.

Passed this restuarant tonight and thought we'd give it a try, wish we kept walking. Food was okay but took long to come out considering their was only a few other customers. Food was overpriced for what it was. Was not impressed when we went to pay the bill and was advised that their eftpos was not working and that there CBA down the road!

Really looking forward to this dinner. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. Best dish was the Blue spanner crab which was great. Worst dish was the dessert of spiced pineapple and truffle ice-cream, even the acompanying drink, though interesting, not to my taste.

I would have to agree with other reviews, there is no really wow factor here for food. Service is excellent in all aspects. Better value can be had at other hatted restaurants in Sydney.
