Excellent and authentic indo food. I can say it is equivalent to the best in Indonesia. Very unique set up.
Ayam Penyat is a must try, serve on stone mortar.
Take time to speak to the owner, he is very friendly.

The seafood dishes are great, especially the crumbed oysters and garlic prawns.
Disappointed that this is not an authentic Japanese restaurant as the staff all speak Mandarin. Also, it took ages for the staff to come and clear the dishes from our small tiny table. Food was great but not great on the service.

Do not bother ringing up the restaurant to make bookings for yum cha as I was rudely told that the place was fully booked and just come in and take a ticket. We arrived at 12:00 and got a table after 5 minutes, which was not too long of a wait. They just don't like taking bookings for yum cha. The steam dumplings are really good with lots of variety. The worst dish is the chicken feet because it is really soggy and tasteless.

We came across this little restaurant in Broadbeach and decided to try it. It looked very busy but we managed to get seats. The ambience was great and we loved the Beef Tataki entree. This place is popular for their steak dishes. Really worth it!

I was very impressed with the menu with its extensive range and interesting food (eg Sea Urchin cheesecake). You definitely won't find many of the dishes here in other restaurants. All the food were well presented and tasted delicious. One of my concern was whether the restaurant was true authentic Japanese restaurant as most of the staff were Chinese, not Japanese.

This restaurant treats their Western guests with extremely great service. This is not just a once off experience but on few occasions.
When we entered the restaurant and asked for a table (there was clearly an empty table in front of us) we were told rudely by the staff to wait. Then straight away he walked off to a table with Westerners and poured wine for them and joke with them.
When we were still finishing our dinner, the waiter came by and rudely put the plate of oranges on our table, a sign to tell us to hurry up and leave, without even clearing the table. I looked around and the other Western guests had their table cleared and glasses of wine topped up with nicely cut oranges placed on the plate.
Waiters here are clearly two-faced! Be warned.
