I'm not going to write anything that has been said before. Overfried karaage under cooked gyoza. Unedible noodles. I could not get out of this place fast enough. Surprisingly it was pretty full for a Tuesday night.

My partner and I went here last night for dessert and coffee. I found the crumble portion to be small and although the menu states it as being warmed it wasn’t with a very small scoop of ice-cream. I politely asked for it just to be warmed a bit more. The pie came back on the same plate, not warmed other than what felt like the lights on the pass as it comes out of the kitchen and the crumble all over the plate.

I used to work in the industry and a fresh plate would’ve been the baseline minimum in a pricey restaurant. The waiters were overfriendly bordering on unprofessional. I didn't make a fuss, its not worth it over a piece of crumble, however, for a $30 main restaurant and a $12 dessert I expected a little bit more. The cake itself was obviously bought in, small portion and coles vanilla icecream. If they can't get a basic dessert right then I'm not about to go back.

Honest and good value food with generous portions, friendly service all in a clean stylish atmospheric space. It had a feeling of a thailand eatery with generous tasty portions and the chef waving goodbye and the owner introducing himself and shaking our hand as we left. We tried the crispy chicken and snapper which were both flavoursome.

I'm really struggling with paying $25-$ 30 for a main of chicken and coleslaw? Although tasty and the portion generous, four lovely chicken portions nicely fried and seasoned.

I can't fault the service its hip, upbeat and friendly, the staff don't forget you! As a Redfern resident I am overjoyed at this fun and funky addition. A little bit disappointed that despite licking my chops in anticipation of a decent burger within a block, this place sadly lacks one.

Happiness on a cone. The portions on occasion can be a little stingy, surely this is un-Italian?

I have been twice to Xage and really enjoyed the all round experience on both occasions. The Caramelised slow-cooked berkshire pork shoulder was tender and succulent. Coupled with the a choice of a salad the flavours were aromatic, fragrant and bold. I had no problem with the service, I found it to be fast efficient and the food was delivered in lighting speed all in the surrounds of a bustling and modern surrounds. Perhaps, not the place for a romantic quiet dinner. Overall I was a happy diner.

I have been to the Chophouse many times for both business and personal dining. The staff have been professional and attentive on each occasion. The prices are a little steep, and for a place specialising in meat I've had to send my meat back as medium was always on the rare side.

I arrange the private dining room one Friday for a group of 10. With a minimum spend of $1100 for a 1.5 hour lunch I was told that we had to sit down by 12.15 pm not 12.30 pm as we wanted otherwise they wouldn't take the booking. Just seemed to be slightly weird and bossey. We are after all the customer?

We had the fixed Friday lunch menu which I thought was excellent value given that we also had two dishes as complementary. The flavours and textures were fantastic. The take on lemon tart was truly spectacular. Unfortunately for a full priced meal this is out of my reach, however, felt equally as happy and satisfied with my short dining experience.

I've been twice in one week now, once for dinner and another for lunch. Both times the dumplings were fresh and tasty. The service was very attentive and the only downside would be that sometime the music is quite loud and upbeat which bounces off the walls. We loved the prawn gow gee, pork and chives and the chocolate dumplings. Definitely will be back.

I was massively disappointed with the service. I booked 2.5 months ago and didn't know to ask for the verandah. Upon arriving I mentioned to the waiter that I would've preferred to be given that option on booking and he pretty much dismissed me or my comments straight away. We have to wait a long time for service, was promised more vegetarian sandwiches because our friends were vegetarian and pregnant and these didn't arrive.

We were given a glass of bubbles as a 'sorry' because we weren't sat on the verandah which was nice until they tried to charge us for it at the end on our bill at the end. We didn't receive our tea order or the actual tea for about 30 minutes into our sitting and then it arrive more or less at the end of our high tea. Water was rarely refilled, no one to be seen when the small portion of cream and jam ran out. I use to be in the industry and to be honest any wedding service is a much easier occasion, putting pre chosen food plates infront of people and refilling glasses.

The on the positive side, the pastry chef is fantastic hot delicious scones and a nice selection of petite fours. I have been to many high teas across Sydney and I think the selection and portion side is on the generous side. Luckily my friends were all too busy chatting and catching up to notice the complete lack of service and follow up. The food was tasty and pretty much what you would expect from a high end place such as this.
