Was so disappointed when I recently visited the newly refurbished Laksa. It used to be in a dingy alley, but was quirky with style. The new place is like you're visiting a mass eating venue. I was placed on a 'share' table with another family with screaming kids. The sound meant I had to scream our orders. We were so annoyed that we got up and ordered take-away instead.

The food's gone up a little in price since the new venue, so an order of three mains totalled over $50. Not as great as it used to be, the food is always as good, however, so worth visiting for that alone. But for my money, you're better off visiting Lagenda next door, and it's owned by the same guy, plus ambience is 100 times better! Overall, really disappointing compared with the old cute place....sorry.
