Sydney Fine Food has been extremely accommodating of myself and another friend when we bring our babies to breakfast. They rearrange the tales for us and have even heated up our baby's food. And of course the food has been delicious. Definitely recommended for stay at home mums who want to get out of the house.

We chose the Sensational Thai $29.50 banquet menu for our high school reunion which included two courses - a selection of entrees and five mains. With 32 people in our party, it could have been a nightmare. But once we got ourselves seated, the food started to flow and continued to do so until there was honestly more food than we could possibly eat. We had eight takeaway containers of leftovers - if that's not value for money, I don't know what is. The chicken penang was particularly delicious as was a little fried wonton which I'm told contained pork and nuts. Sensational Thai is definitely a solid eating experience but perhaps more enjoyable with a few less people at the table!

We chose Darcy's for our anniversary dinner (since Buzo had their phone on answering machine and never returned our call). They were delighted to take our booking - a pleasant change. My husband chose the oystes natural for entree which he said were incredibly fresh. We had the steak Dianne and the veal scalopini for mains - both of which were very seventies choices, done to perfection with absolutely no pretention. Yes, we paid extra for the vegetables but we simply didn't care. My non-vegetable eating husband miraculously demolished all the creamed spinach which was clearly homemade and loaded with garlic.

We let slip it was our anniversary and they presented us with a complimentary piece of tiramisu which was delicious! The best part of the night was the service - it was impeccable. We were so impressed we seriously over tipped. I'm sure they'll be happy to see us again. Note: for some reason, Darcy's water is delicious. We'd go there again just for the water!

These guys do an excellent $10 steak all week. It's 300g of 120 days aged beef, and let me tell you, it's fine! It comes with either mash or chips and a mesclun salad on the side. Your choice of sauce (pepper is great!). Service isn't too good though - the staff taking orders is surly and despite numerous repeats visits, refuses to recognise us as regulars. Drinks are pub prices and in winter, there's a nice warm open fire.

We chose Buzo as a treat for our anniversary. We booked well in advance as we heard it was hard to get a table. As a party of two, we were seated on the ground floor by the stairs which could have been a disaster but turned out to be an excellent way to celebrity spot.

The food was exquisite - although I did feel my steak was over salted. Portion sizes were very generous. Service was positively excellent. Our only regret was that we didn't leave room for dessert. Note: the Buzo wine menu is incredibly extensive with some delightful selections from Italy.

The first time I dined here I was one of two women in the restaurant. John Singleton was dining at the next table, which is a clear indication of how blokey this place is. The second time, it was my birthday and I took at least seven femals friends with me. Again, all other tables were populated by men. Interestingly, it took over 45mins to get our food on the table. We watched in disappointment as men who'd arrived after us got their meals before us. Kingsleys serves great food, but they don't appear to like female customers.
