My wife came here with my daughter and a friend on a Scoopon deal. They raved about. We came back for an anniversary. The food is excellent, service achieves a nice balance between attention and familiarity, pleasant decor. Clearly the chef chooses the finest ingredients which are prepared and presented beautifully. People should be queuing out of the door to eat here. We live in Rose Bay but will definitely be making the trip over again. The Cape Grim steak is probably the finest steak I have ever eaten.

I went with an old mate to MoMo for lunch based on the reviews. It was everything it was cracked up to be. Great food, great portions, great staff. The boss really cares. This place deserves to succeed and was really buzzing when we were there. My main reason for going was to get some real pastrami as most pastrami in Australia is a joke. This is the real thing. House made to a great recipe. For those who have never had pastrami they Must try it. We'll be going back.

Went on a coupon fearing it would be another Aussie Thai venue. It is not. The food has authentic Thai taste. It's not fancy but comfortable. The hardworking staff are attentive with a smile. We'll definitely go back again.

Great location but the food reflects the worst of Australian 'Thai' food, cloyingly sweet bland mish mash. They even contrive to find mild dried red chilli. Scarcely a trace of chilli spice. I Thai very expensive for what you get. The cheapest 'banquet' meal is $39.90 per head. With wine one pays $55/60 a head. That price buys much much better food elsewhere. The lack of authenticity is emphasized by the inclusion of Singapore curry puff and siu mai in the starters.

Avoid this place if you know how Thai food should taste. Additionally the tables are close and the toilets are poorly maintained.

I've little to add to the other reviews. The food is excellent, beautifully cooked combinations of flavour, well presented. Excellent attentive wait staff. The desserts were delicious while avoiding the over-sweetness which is the besetting sin of many Sydney restaurants. Highly recommended. The food is top class at middle of the road prices.

Went in a party of 6 as it seems so popular. We do not understand why it is so popular. As the evening was cold we had tempura and hot dishes. The miso soup or teriyaki is loaded with MSG and/or salt so we all spent the night getting up for water. We were charge $22 for green tea for 6 people. $2 per person plus charges for refills! That's outrageous.

On the positive side the tempura prawns were very good but overall the food was ordinary, e.g. some of the tempura was soggy, not to mention the lashings of MSG. The taraki beef was tough. Maybe the sushi is good but we will not be going back to try it.

Good food. We tried several dishes all good and the Ikan Stim (barramundi) was excellent. Stay is great, we could go on. However, while smart, the trendy hard surfaces and lack of soft furnishings mean that conversation at the next table can clearly be heard and the overall noise level can be deafening if sharing the restaurant with a birthday party - we were.

Service is amiable but incompetent. Dishes brought one by one in no particular order. Requests had to be repeated 3 times. Quite pricey but we will go again. Would be outstanding if the staff were properly trained and rugs and curtains were used to cut the echoes.

When a restaurant has large hectoring signs telling customers to be patient because everything is cooked fresh with the best ingredients and if you are in a hurry go elsewhere one should be warned. I last visited Dolcissimo 2 years ago (no signs then) but the waits certainly were. Now I do not mind waiting for good food to be cooked fresh but to wait for leathery veal oozing in a disgusting sauce is another matter. Nor can I see any reason to wait 10 minutes for a bill and more than 5 minutes to get my credit card back.

The only reason this cafe/restaurant survives is location and limited competition it can't be the food - or the coffee or the service from harassed looking waiters. And by the way the pizza is best described as ordinary.

Went to Machiavelli today. As always, excellent service - I have never met less snobbish waiters in a restaurant of this class. They are charming, efficient and personable. As usual good food. Marvellous antipasto, excellent wine list, Expensive? Yes, it is but if you want a budget meal go somewhere else.
