Hmm, you get what you pay for here. Abundant servings of tasteless food, crammy and noisy with terribly unfriendly service. Great for the backpackers and nearby van inhabitants.

This place has still got it. Its not the standard 'home-cooking' italian eatery that you may find in Haberfield or thereabouts, its a lot more up market and has the prices to match.

Four of us ordered a pasta each from their specials board and were not disappointed with the freshness and the flavours. With one bottle of a $50 italian red, the total cost was $190. There was an energetic vibe although quite noisy while the service was quick and friendly.

Truly amateurish service also not particularly friendly especially when placing your order at the counter. The breakfast I ordered including the allpress coffee was fine although it had nothing special that would invite me to return. The vista overlooking the beach is very nice, however, the location alongside the hotel lets it down imo.

Quite cheap but I guess the overall service and presentation matches. Doesn't compare to the places on the southern end of the beach.

Recently dined here with a group of friends. Its now called 'Queens Park Pizza Restaurant'. As a whole I was not too impressed. We tried a few pizzas for entree which were ok but fell short of the quality and flavour of pizzas you can get from other places, say from up at the Spot in Randwick. We had a variety of meals for mains that were generous with servings but there was no flavour in fact most were very bland.

The ambience was noisy, the service slow and their coffee was atrocious. They really need to address these issues before I will return.

Nice fit-out but not so good coffee (they use a mickey mouse coffee machine). Service very very slow. We ordered some desserts and coffees on a recent sunday arvo, pleasant enough sitting there but were served our coffees a good 10 minutes after we finished eating dessert.

They need to step up in their service and also employ a barista otherwise this place will become very popular only with nearby schoolies looking for ice-creams.

We attended a function here recently held on the upper level (level 3). Great summer venue under the stars as we even watched the fireworks over Darling Hbr. Service was very friendly by all staff from behind the bar and those serving appetizers to all guests. A venue for the young as it does get progressively noisy with all the different music playing on each level.

What an interesting menu! We chose a number of entree and main size meals between 5. Vegetarian is really not my cup of tea, however, I would come back to this once in a while just for the vietnamese flavours. Loved the dumplings.
Very uncomfortable if you intend to stay for more than an hour while service seemed a little lost at times although very friendly. Price a little on the higher side for this part of town.

Pretty good menu, tasty foods, decent coffee, buzzy atmosphere and friendly fast service. Popular cafe in the heart of the Junction.

I don't think so! A watered down 'fresh' orange juice and a chicken salad put together from fillings meant for sandwiches or wraps. Wasn't game to sample their coffee.

Excellent value here for the quality of foods on offer and the relatively low cost. Six of us dined here recently downstairs on a saturday evening with small and large plate plus dessert for each and with two bottles of wine and some cocktails for $65 a head. The 8hr slow roasted shoulder of lamb is a standout imo so I am looking forward in returning to sample many other dishes.

I was happy to find that the same excellent bread and butter pudding provided at the old Balzac was also on the menu. Ambience was fine although a little noisy when the place filled while service was friendly and unrushed.
