It's hard to know where to start with this place. The filth on the walls, floor and windows, the tired 1990s cafe food slung together and dumped onto the grimy plates, or the burning resentment of the staff.

Perhaps the staff are the worst thing here. Given how little service they actually provide it is difficult to understand the violence of their hatred of the service industry. After you have found yourself a table, cleaned it, found some menus, cleaned them and then found yourself some water, you have to confront a staff member. You're never sure here if, once you have again returned to the counter to make your order, you will be ignored or actually abused for your efforts.

Corellli's could be improved. If the owners were bought out, the staff sacked (or, better still, imprisoned) and the room gutted, sanitised, repainted and refitted it could be quite a pleasant cafe. But there would always be the memories.
