Had a great dinner here with my husband on Saturday night. Despite this restaurant not taking bookings we had a table for two in less than 5 minutes. Having said that, the food was so good that I would happily go back and wait a lot longer if that's what it took to eat here again! I can't remember the name of the chicken curry we had but it's one of their signature dishes with french brandy in it and it was incredible.
We also had a goat curry which was pretty tasty although the goat wasn't quite as tender as I've had before. And to top it off service was quick and friendly, and the bill was a lot better than expected given how full we were when we left!

Went here one night mid-week with some family a week ago. It was by no means amazing food but it was enjoyable and staff very friendly (possibly to the point of overattentive continually interrupting us for one thing or another). There was no pizza on the menu (just pizettes available for lunch) but the restaurant next door (Ceasars?) is owned by the same people so they happily brought me a pizza from them which was very tasty. Dessert crepes were horrible but there was a good selection of cakes on display that looked they might have been a winning option instead.
Overall, nothing to write home about, just reasonably priced, decent food with pleasant staff.

Ate here last night with a bunch of friends. We arrived asking for a table of ten expecting to be told of a very long wait but instead were immediately offered the private dining room. (Which was a lovely large table downstairs, though unfortunately next to the bathrooms.)
The wait staff were very helpful and fun. And the food was incredible. We had the banquet menu and with the help and direction of the waiter even managed to accommodate the vegetarian at the table without overly complicating things. I could try to advise you on which dishes to make sure you eat but the fact is every single dish was a hit with the majority of the table each time - the one dish I wasn't a huge fan of most everyone else loved and vice versa.
And yes, it is a little pricier than your thai diner on King St but that is because it is exceptional food. And having said that, the banquet menu was $45 a head and everyone (including all the giant drunken men at the table) were just about full before the mains even came out! Definitely a place to try if you like your food!

Took an international visitor here on Saturday night. After making the booking a number of weeks ago and requesting a table with a view we were given a table by the windows but with the view blocked by a bit of wall. After much negotiating we managed to get a table with a view. (Interestingly, the restaurant wasn't even fully booked out).
The food was a little hit and miss but when they got it right it was fabulous. The rabbit and prunes for main is highly recommended, as is the chocolate dessert.
Unfortunately, the whole experience was let down by pretty appalling service for a place charging as much as it does. For example, after finally getting the attention of the waitstaff (who I think must have intensive training on how to look attentive whilst avoiding eye contact with patrons) I asked for the wine list to order another glass of wine.
It then took another 5 minutes to get their attention again so I could order the wine. They then brought me the wrong wine and when they finally brought the correct wine they proceeded to give it to someone else at the table. It is unlikely I will ever go back, the view is the only real drawcard and given the poor service I think I'd prefer to pay a little extra and go a couple of doors down to Doyles or Quay.

This is a lovely little cafe with good service. I ate here with 4 other family members who all enjoyed the setting. The arancini balls and steaks were apparently great. The chicken, leek and lemon risotto was too lemon-y I'm told and the spinach and fetta quiche that I had was a little unexciting but still nice.
Overall, will definitely be back here, such a nice spot perfectly half-way between Sydney and Canberra.

Great! I found this place through the Entertainment Book and I'm very grateful! A nice little restaurant with great food, my husband had the steak which was apparently "possibly the best steak he's ever had" while I had a creative cauliflower soup with duck tortellini which was very tasty. The staff happily matched wines for us and gave perfect, unobtrusive service. Blancmange is definitely a new favourite!

From the moment you walk in there is no mistaking that this is going to be a fancy fine dining experience. The service was amazing with the sommelier matching wines for every dish we ordered and the food was outstanding.
Unfortunately, the whole experience was tainted with an absolutely terrible entree of angel hair pasta, egg and truffles which literally had no flavour at all. I didn't know truffles could be so tasteless. (This was a special on the menu though so fingers crossed it doesn't last long).

The food here is good (tamarind prawns a must) but it is William (the store owner) who turns this place from a good diner to a great night out. He welcomes every one like they are long lost friends and checks up on you regularly. A very fun night!

Amazing! A wonderful authentic french restaurant. The level of service was perfect, always there when required but not at all intrusive. The food was exceptional, the moreton bay bug souffle was so light and tasty, the seafood cassolette a clear winner as a main, and a wonderful creme brulee for dessert.
Apparently this place has only been open for a year and a half, and I don't think it will be much longer before it is awarded an SMH Hat or two!

This cafe is, and has been, a favourite of mine for a while now. The food is very tasty and although the prices are a little higher than average it makes up for it in portion size. And the coffee is the best in Sydney (yes even better than Campos up the street!).
But the stand-out feature of this place is the service. Run by a family who know all the regulars by name and coffee, stopping here for a coffee always brightens the day.
