The food was nice and the lemonade drinks very refreshing. We went late in the afternoon and as it became dark outside it was quite dark inside - which probably would be nice for a romantic dinner. We however were there with my family and really wanting to see what we were eating... a few more candles on the tables might be an option.

This is a retrospective review (before the move):
I am amazed that I have not reviewed this restaurant as yet as it is one of our most favourite places to eat. The food is delicious and full of delicate flavours and intricacies. Always beautifully presented. The staff are the most perfect host. Charming, engaging and light-hearted but never intrusive. We visit at least on an annual basis.

Went there while waiting for the ferry with 3 others (including 2 tourists). We wanted 4 coffees and something to nibble on while we waited (1 1/2 hours). We seated ourselves outside and waited for the menus to arrive... 10 minutes went by and no attention. So one of us went to get the menu and was told that they will bring it to us in a tick so came back. Waited another 5-10 mins... nothing... so she went and got the menus for us. Then she went up again in a while to tell them we were ready to order and after another 10 mins someone arrived to take our order.

Then we waited and waited... It took us around 1/2 hour to place an order but we thought we still have nearly an hour left. However further 45 mins later we still hadn't been served. There were promptings and inquiries made in between at the main counter for our coffees and wedges. Finally we had to cancel our order and no one apologised to us for wasting 1hr and 15mins of our time. One it was really atrocious service. Two, I am just so embarrassed to have had taken the two overseas tourists with us.

Was terribly unimpressed with this place. Had a large group celebration so had a very limited menu option (which didn't bother us). We found the waiter a bit intrusive. I like to be served by someone who is attentive yet not intrusive but can engage when appropriate. Most on our table did not drink or were driving and so did not want to drink. Our waiter kept going on and on about it and kept suggesting drinks and teased our guest of honour.

Our food was nothing to write home about. They use cheap ingredients but make it sound fancy. I can't even really remember what I ate in my three course meal. What I do remember is that their muscles were full of grit that I had to spit out and all their food was over salted.

Anyway after that meal we were lugged with a substantial charge for having a large group, which isn't unheard of but when you didn't enjoy the meal or the service it is a bit hard to swallow (esp as we were not told beforehand).

While eating a few of us were considering the cooking courses that they run there but will steer clear.

Great for a casual no-fuss eat. The place doesn't look great and the staff are well meaning but can become overwhelmed. It can get quite busy with only 2 staff on the floor.

The food is wonderful and good value. The naans are probably the best we have tasted in Sydney. So far all the curries we have had have been delicious. The palak paneer is also one of the best we have eaten.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The entrees and mains were lovely. The dessert however was the highlight for us. The hazelnut dessert was outstanding as well as the chocolate and passionfruit one. The apple mocktail was complex and wonderful.
The staff were attentive without being intrusive or disruptive. On the down side, the place is more pricey that its comparable counterparts. Finding a park is very difficult. Would definately go back for a drink and dessert.

Away from the busy streets, this is a nice little tucked away place. It was very packed when we got there and the staff tried their best to find us a spot. Good coffee and yummy breakfast. We all received a free coffee coupon for next time which was nice. Looking forward to going back.

We dined here on a recent visit from Sydney. We went for the sunday lunch. The entrees to share were the highlight of day. I am now a converted beetroot and goat's curd fan.

Not being able to compare with previous decor, we quite liked the well lit fresh atmosphere. The toilet facilities are noteworthy. There was a surcharge with our $65 sunday lunch, which I didn't appreciate. Given its by definition a "sunday" lunch and if one charges a surcharge on sundays shouldn't the price include the surcharge. False advertising. Restaurants aren't supposed to be like banks.

Lovely little place. Delicous food, nice flavours. We loved our entrees and mains. We didn't like our desserts as much, it lacked a certain kick for us. My husband had the warm chocolate pudding and I had the coconut jelly with mangoes. For me the mangoes weren't ripe and sweet enough (which should change with the coming months) which meant the combination lacked adequate sweetness and aroma. Nice presentation however. Good service.
