Used to be quite good as a place to get some food after seeing a film. The last couple of times we have been there the food has not been good. Undercooked chicken on one occasions and thick batter on the tempura prawns the next. We will not bother again.

We often stay at a hotel in the vicinity and having a pub close by is very handy. We have been to PJ Gallaghers quite a few times over the last few years because, while a bit overpriced and only serving pub food, it is so convenient.

While in Sydney this week, the food has really been particularly ordinary but what was really disappointing was the way one member of their staff, who appears to be supervising, treats customers.

We were seated in a walkway because there were no other tables. It was draughty and really not very pleasant. When another table (two pushed together) became available we asked if we could move there. We were told that was okay. Later the supervising? waitress came up and said those tables were booked for a larger party and made us move back to the walkway.

We went because if there was a booking for a larger party, that was fair enough. However, a short while later, she separated the tables into two tables and seated two other couples there! Downright rude behaviour. When our food did arrive she just plonked it on the table and walked off. I have to say the other waitress on duty was both friendly and efficient. I think her supervisor could learn a few lessons from her.

Since we visit Sydney a lot for work, we usually go to this pub for a meal at least once each trip and usually more during our stays. This was our second time this trip. We will think very carefully before bothering again. I can live with overpriced drinks and slow service, I can put aside the chicken being a bit overcooked or the garlic bread cold when they are busy, but rude, arrogant behaviour, no thanks.

We have been here a few times. It is a convenient stop for a meal before going to the cinema. The food has always been good and Jason, the manager, is fabulous. Always remembers us and makes appropriate recommendations. We usually eat earlier to avoid the crowds, so the service is fast and efficient.

Quite a nice setting for a casual lunch or breakfast but the service was very slow. We waited ages for service and saw a couple leave and go elsewhere. We weren't given the breakfast menu until we asked for it, despite it visiting the cafe before lunch time. The food was nothing special and the toasted bread for my sandwich was very dried out. Not a terrible experience, but nothing to tell your friends about either.

Food was lovely with a good range of options on the menu. Good value for money. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was excellent. Unobtrusive but speedy. Little noisy but that is to be expected in such a lively, busy restaurant.
