I always wanted to go to this restaurant, but I must say I was really disappointed. The food was So Bland! For a relatively expensive restaurant, I was expecting quality, and on paper the food sounded amazing. I was utterly disappointed with all the pasta dishes we tried.

Really enjoy going to this place for casual dining! Love the electronic ordering! Its a novelty and huge time saver. The food is great, particularly the sukiyaki hot pot... The only thing is that booths are a bit too small for large groups, and that the food is a bit expensive.

I've been to hannibals previously with my boyfriend and thought it was quite good. Last night I had planned my birthday there and it was the worst experience! I would definitely not go there again. We had booked a cushion room for 15-20 people and they had given us seating for 10. They did not put up the surprise decorations that my friends had taken over earlier when they had said they would. When they finally found enough seating for us, the food didn't arrive for 45 minutes! The waitress asked if we had even ordered yet, when nobody had even asked us what we wanted to order, and I had rang to confirm everything, including numbers and the banquet, earlier that day!

The staff were completely useless and unfriendly. I think it was understaffed for a Friday night, they were completely unprepared, there was not enough food and it was unevenly distributed and we got charged through the roof for corkage and to smoke the flavoured tabacco which they didn't tell us about. Also, they charged us for more people than were there, as most people had left after dinner.

If you go to this restaurant in a small group I think it's ok but would definitely not organise to have a function here again! Afterwards one of my friends said that he had been there before for a function and they had had problems then too.

That the management team are writing that the negative reviews are lies from competitor only makes me think that all the positive ones are made up by themselves. It makes me like the place even less, like they're refusing to take responsibility and instead of changing their perspective, they're just redirecting blame. I'm still really angry about this! Totally ruined my birthday.

I love love love this place! Yes, the chef Rene is well known as the cranky chef, and you have to understand that if you eat here you may get a show as well as dinner! Its a dining experience, with excellent food, so if you have to be somewhere after dinner don't go here.

The food is excellent, Mireille the Maitre'D/ waitress is friendly and fun and did I mention the food was fantastic? Its a little on the expensive side but definitely worth it!

We had escargot, mini quiche appetisiers, lamb and pork. Have to say the lamb was my favourite but everything was great! Was so full after dinner that I had to take a walk before dessert.

Make sure you book in advance and dont get on the wrong side of the chef! Take everything in stride and you'll have a great, and maybe interesting dining experience
