Sunday lunch with a table of 10 was extremely pleasant. The service was well measured and the restaurant has a lovely ambience, made me feel like I was in a northern Italian trattoria despite the full Australian summer sun beating down outside.

The food was also excellent. Nice size portions to satisfy after entree and mains but also with the option to 'squeeze' in one of the excellent desserts. Will be definitely back for seconds.

Squeezed us in as a table of 8 and enjoyed the ambience of the place with attentive service on a busy night. Had the fish, which was delicious, while others had the steak. Pizzas enjoyed by the kids. While the pizzas could be a tad bigger and the steak would do well to be accompanied by some vegetables, I would recommend this place to others.

Dined here on a busy Saturday night and was seated next to the kitchen. While the service was very rushed and the ambience very noisy we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would visit again.

Popped in the other night for dessert and found the staff welcoming and friendly. Had the spiced pears from the specials board which were well presented and very yummy. Will definitely be back another time to sample from the main menu.

We have eaten at Cibo e Vino a number of times and we can rarely fault it. The menu is always interesting and the chef's style is influenced by seasonal produce and the Italian north.

Tonight we had the figs and prosciutto, a very cliche Italian dish but the dish itself was far from cliche, figs were grilled perfectly, prosciutto was delectable and the flavours were sublime. Our mains (lamb and duck) were flawlessly prepared and desserts (trifle of sponge with red jelly/roasted almonds and strawberry pannacotta) were excellent (made on site as usual/not shipped in). All finished with coffee just the way I like it (without disappointment).

Sure, corkage is expensive but the wine list is worth looking at. Yes, sometimes the wait can be long if the kitchen is busy. But, if you want great tasting 'slow' food from the Italian north (not usually found in the Hills) then this little place is well worth a visit.
