We had a nice group breakfast, across the road from the Manly beach strip so good atmosphere.

The coffee was good but not great, food was the big Brekky and it was decent but again nothing to rave about: it had 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bread, 2 rashes of bacon, 2 tomatoes, 2 large mushrooms, for $20 was ok value.

Great professional service to top it off, the waitress did not even have to write the coffee order for a table of 8!

Food: Money Bag entree lacked flavor, Yellow Curry was good but did not have a distinct flavour, Hisin Beef had good flavour but the beef was very chewy and wasn't obviously marinated and tenderised, all dishes in fact were average and nothing stood out.

Good Ambience and courteous Service. Low value with mains from $17 even at lunch time, my advise is to avoid the chef's special because there was nothing special about the chef's cooking skills.

Orchard Tavern, Chatswood

Food: excellent for a Pub, the Pork ribs were good but the Stir Fried Chicken were better thanks to the magnificent sauce. Nice multi-level space with screen to watch the footy.

Service was very slow, 30 minutes for the food to come out and very little personal touch from the staff. Value not so great with mains around $20.

Food: Massaman Lamb was perfect, later was told it's a top favourite dish. Pad Thai was also very tasty, could not fault anything.

Ambience: not the best location but nice lighting and clean tables.

Service: for a slow sunday night, I thought it was difficult to get the waiters attention but they were polite and the food came out quick.

Value: large portions, with quite a few mains under $15, it is good value.

Tew Thai Take Away, Gladesville

Food: above average, authentic thai flavours, the Duck Curry was ok, vegetables overcooked and the Cashew nut Noodle had some vegetables under-cooked, Money Bag entree was plain.

Ambience: not so bad considering they are on busy Victoria road, most of the seating are at the back where you can enjoy a better view, loved the stylish seats and the indirect light.

Service: was not a busy night and I thought the waiter did a good job attending to our special needs and even snuck a bit of small talk.

Value: excellent with mains from $10 even at dinner time, no wonder most of their business is take away.

Little Tripoli Lebanese Restaurant, Greenacre

Food: Freshly made Lebanese Food; loved all the meats in the mixed plate; not enough Garlic sauce though and the Tabouli had a little too much lemon in it.

Ambience: newly opened premises, large floor space; basic decoration; deduct points for having to walk thru the busy kitchen to get to the single toilet.
loved the Fatteh, it has a crunchy almond pieces in it...

Service: typical no frills service; you have to talk to them!

Value: $18 for a mixed plate is not that competitive in the Bankstown area but the portion is big in size.

Food: Delicious authentic Thai food, a bit over seasoned, the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were right on the money.

Ambience: tight space between table and small floor space.

Service: very good and efficient, the boss asked us if we wanted chillies without us asking.

Value: $15+ per dish, deducted points for not having a lunch special.

Located in the Parra Leagues Club on level 3 with indoor and Balcony seating; this restaurant has great ambience, new furniture, nice decor, hip music...

Food: not a large menu, mostly italian/spanish dishes with Tapas, Pasta, and Risotto... the meat ball was good, but the Tortellini Basciolla was perfect; pear & wallnut salad was average.

Value: Great Value with Mains around $15... the meat ball tapas was a shocker, simply 5 meat balls in a small dish; I had to ask the waitress if something was missing and requested they bring some bread for dipping.

Wow, what an unexpected classy place in Canley Vale... beautiful decoration, very hip environment and authentic gelatos and nice desserts served... unbelievable value... must be the waiter made a mistake because we ordered 5 single Gelatos, 1 coffee and 1 Chocolate Dip with Strawberries... total $29!

Award winning restaurant and for a good reason; great tasting authentic Laos food (very close to Thai food)... all 6 dishes we sampled were delightful... highly recommend the Laos Sausage side dish.

Nice Ambience with Wooden Tables and authentic decor from that part of the world; the only downer is the Toilet.

Service: very quick and effective; for once the waiters keep looking around and it's easy to get their attention... food took 10min to come out which is quick.

Value: most mains are under $15
