It has been a long time since we been here and heard that they have a special at $50 per head for dinner buffet, so came back.

Well, first impression is nothing has changed in the past 15 years as far as decoration is concerned so it is a little bit dated. Heard from the waitress that they going to rennovate in a couple of months time, so maybe that is why the special. Anyway, seating is very comfortable.

The service is very attentive from clearing the dirty dishes to refilling the ice water.

The food. the cold food are all pretty good. oysters small but plentiful and fresh. crabs and prawns nice. sushi small selection and ok. smoked salmon fine.

the same cannot be said about hot food. very bland. the best was probably the ham and even the pumpkin and potatoes are not very good - no taste and potatoes too hard.

Desserts selection were limited. but given the price we paid we were okay.

Been here many times for lunch and I wonder why I keep coming back. May be I have a high tolerance for rude service. I think the senior staff is especially rude, he usually works behind the front counter. So we vowed never to return back to here for lunch nor dinner.

So today. We arrived at the restaurant without a booking. A simple inquiry about how long we need to wait is greeted with a arrogant I don't know, "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE". And then funny enough, we are able to walk straight in as soon as that response was given.

And then when we finished, I asked for the bill and a receipt when I presented with a credit card at the table. By the way, they only take VISA card and only if it is over A$30. The lady waitress brought back my credit card receipt to sign, but there is no receipt. So I asked her and she responded by saying that I should get that myself at the front desk.

Okay. Great customer service. So I walked up to ask the senior staff for a receipt. He responded in the most rude manner as if it is a lot of trouble. And the most unbelievable thing is that when he handed the receipt to me, he said next time if you need a receipt, you should come up to the counter to pay. Wonderful, geez, I don't think I work for you and my god, you are not the only restaurant I can go to. See you later. Never seen as people as rude and as arrogant as this. Good luck to them. I will not return.
