This restaurant is my perfect restaurant, the best food, we always have the degustation with the wines, the views are to die for, day and night and the waiters are the best. This is not a cheap restaurant, but the value is excellent. Thank you Sails.

Highly Recommended. I'm absolutely curious to know if the negative reviewers actually went to the same restaurant as I did with my Jump On It voucher last night. I had read the reviews yesterday when I made the booking and I was nervous about taking my guests there. Three of us dined together and we were greeted warmly and sincerely and given a lovely table. Nothing was too much trouble. I asked if it was Ok if the 3rd person chose from the a la carte and they said that was fine and if the 3rd person just wanted to share our voucher food that was fine too.
Wow, it sure didn't sound like we were going to get that reception when I first read the reviews. The first tasting plate was exquisite and featured items I would certainly not have chosen from a menu, like quails eggs, veal tongue and eel pate. But just shows you, be adventurous and be introduced to new things.
For the main DW chose the pork belly and was delighted, JM chose the a la carte item of lamb and raved about it, and I chose the snapper fillet with a crab base, delicious! Not dessert eaters we nevertheless let them bring the crumble and the rice pudding. Not that these were as ordinary as they sound, again, a new food take on these items and they were definitely worth trying.
We enjoyed the white wine that came with the deal and also ordered the sour dough bread to start which was fresh and hot and was served with virgin olive oil and balsamic. We chose to include another entree of figs and prosciutto and the green bean side with the mains. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, we're delighted we went, and for all those nay-sayers, why buy these vouchers if you're not prepared to try new things.
Why shouldn't this restaurant create a menu for the voucher users, they told me that 2,000 had bought them and they've had to accommodate all these people over the last 6 months. Good job District Dining!

I was intrigued to have dinner at Blancmange after we'd had the tasting plate during the wine course that the Annandale Cellars held in their second room, so I booked us in Thursday night last week. The rest of my party were underwhelmed as we walked in as I had raved a little bit too much I think, but after the meals started to arrive everyone was a fan of this restaurant.
The value was excellent, 3 courses for $55, and the wine list extensive and good value. I can't recommend the salmon main dish enough, or the chicken entree, although my friend said the pork belly was average. The tables are spaced out, the sound levels are easy on the ear and you can really relax in this lovely inner west restaurant. Thanks for a great night out, we'll be back.
