To be quite honest I don't know what the people below are talking about. What an over rated restaurant. Over priced and under portioned.

I ordered the 400g steak with hand cut chips which consisted of an over charred piece of meat (perfect medium rare on the inside) - and two single 'chips' these must have been no longer then 6cm in length and 2 cm wide. All for $40.

Other people on the table ordered the salmon and were left starving afterwards. Dessert was $18 and I ordered the panna cotta... which was served looking like mush on the plate. Obviously didn't have enough time to set or was not made properly but I was left eating a soup textured dessert.

Service was very poor. If you are looking for actual 5 star quality... do not dine at this place. Waste of money.

Since discovering Samurai it has been a regular favourite. Not only do I dine here, but I have made sure I recommend this restaurant to any one who is looking for great Japanese food.

The sashimi is always fresh and large pieces! Beef Tacos are amazing, and definitely a must have. My boyfriend loves the mountain pancake... surprisingly yummy as an addition to any meal. Yakitori skewers are good too. In fact, every time I dine hear I try something different and I am never disappointed.

Dining in a couple or with friends, I never leave paying any more then $25 per person and you leave feeling stuffed! Amazing is all I have for this place!

Overpriced and inadequate for thai food. I came here for lunch on a Friday with another 6 of my work colleagues. I couldn't believe the prices they were asking for thai food. $18.50 for pad thai is ridiculous.

We were the only group dining in the restaurant at the time and ordered a separate meal each, 5 of us ordering pad thai and the other two ordered stir fries. Our meals were brought out two at a time with a 15 minute wait in between the next two meals. I couldn't believe that any restaurant would believe this to be acceptable.

When I complained as to why the meals were taking so long, the waitress responded with 'at thai you usually share, so we bring out a couple at once'. If I weren't out with people from work I would have expressed how I was feeling a little bit better.

We each ordered our meals separately and made this clear at the time. I can't imagine how long the meals would take to arrive if the restaurant was actually full. The serving was generous but hardly worth the wait and the price that they charged.

I have been to alot of thai restaurants where the quality is high and the service is fantastic, only when the bill comes you pay half the price as what Pomegranate charge. Very disappointing, and obviously won't be returning.

My boyfriend and I tried this place a few months ago and have been back several times since. The food cannot be faulted and by far the best Thai food we have tried in Sydney. Having already been to Thailand, the food at Montien comes very close and maybe even better than what we have tried over there.

It was the first time we tried coconut rice which is absolutely amazing! Every time we go, we can't go pass the chicken penang curry and we always make sure we get the pork dim sum and chicken spring rolls, both equally amazing. We will definitely continue to make the 25 minute drive to eat here. Yum!
