My husband and I had dinner at Insieme using the Living Social Voucher. We always used to drive past Insieme and never knew there was a restaurant tucked away on this street. The location was great, it was on a busy road but still seemed quiet as it was set back a little from the street. Parking was easy as its away from other shops.

When we walked in, the staff was very friendly. There was a young man who had was new and had just started that day and the service he provided was great. There was an older man who I think could have been the owner/manager and he was constantly checking on his customers and making sure they were having a great time. Both staff were very attentive and gave excellent service.

For entrees my husband ordered the fried seafood with tartare sauce and I had the tomatoes with bocconcini cheese. What I must say when we got them was the servings were really generous! One plate would have comfortably served 2 people. The seafood was excellent and I loved my tomato with cheese. It was fresh and had very simple nice flavours.

For mains my husband had the chicken with seeded mustard sauce and I had the fettuccini boscaiola. Both were excellent serving sizes but both myself and my husband were almost full from entrees! The chicken was good although a little too salty, but was still fine to eat. The fettuccini boscaiola was excellent! Seasoned really well and if I hadn't been so full from entrees I would have finished it on the spot.

As both of us couldn't finish the meal (we were very full by now) the owner/manager put them in takeaway containers for us. We were too full to have dessert but we decided to have a coffee/tea to end our meal. When we went to pay for the hot drinks, the owner/manager said we didn't need to pay, even though we should have paid. The owner also came around after dinner to give us 2 complimentary shots of lemoncello. This was such a nice touch and really finished off a generous meal along with excellent service. For this, I have given a value of 10.

Ambience was good but didn't feel as 'cosy'. But the restaurant was clean and modern. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and even because we had left overs, we could enjoy the meal the next day!

My husband and I went here using a voucher for a 7 course degustation meal. Almost every dish had some form of cheese in it. Luckily I didn't mind it as I do like my cheese, but maybe not in almost every dish. I felt as if they were trying to 'fill' out a dish by using cheese. One of the dishes was crab meat and both my husband and I had some crab shells in this dish. The staff were great and attentive. Atmosphere could be a little warmer - perhaps have some ambient music playing would be nice.

My husband and I went to Etch for dinner last night using the voucher for a 3 course meal.

Food: The meal selection was excellent. There was even a vegetarian option for each course so I could see that the menu was well thought out (even though I am not a vegetarian). We chose Confit of Ocean Trout and Pork Belly for entrees. The Ocean trout was brilliant and fresh, and the Pork Belly had perfect crackling and lovely flavors.

For mains we had the Lamb rump and Snapper. Both were excellent. Dessert was brilliant. We chose the Caramel date tart and the cheese cake. My husband usually doesn't like too much dessert, but even he finished all the dessert! In each course, the food presentation was beautiful and creative. My husband and I thought this had been one of the best restaurant food and experience we have had in a long time.

Ambiance: excellent attention to detail and definitely has a great relaxed luxurious feel in the decor and lighting. Also gives an intimate feel as well.

Service: All the wait staff were excellent and very attentive. What I noticed was that they took great care in placing your dish in front of you and turning it to make sure it was straight/symmetrical. Could not fault service at all.

Value: I have given this 10 stars because we thought the combination of the food/service/ambiance and value for money using the voucher was excellent.

Even though we used a voucher, after dining here we had such a great experience we will definitely be coming back again with no need for voucher!
