Came on friday night at 7.30 and surprisingly it wasn't packed out. Was seated promptly and shown how to order. Ordered fried dumplings, xlb, fried buns and the wontons and noodles in spicy sauce. Loved them all. The texture of the handmade noodles were divine and made up for the lacking flavour. The xlb, buns and dumplings were spot on in every aspect.

We also ordered the Nanjing crispy duck served with golden buns which was a complete miss. I'm not sure whether we got the wrong dish or what but we got shredded duck with normal white buns in a cute shape (nothing like the name suggests). It was also way too salty.

We also ordered the baked sesame pockets that I didn't care for although one person enjoyed it out of the group of 6. Turnip cakes was also nothing outstanding to me.

Overall I'd definitely go back for the dumplings, buns, xlb and try out other noodles but I would skip the rest. Friendly service. Def recommend those 4 dishes. $180 for 6 very full people.

Came with a group of 8 on a friday night, we had reservations so seating wasn't a problem (not like it was packed out though). Service was good, we all got what we ordered in due time, no complaints. Steaks, pasta and pizza were ordered along with garlic prawns as an entree. Wagyu beef was a hit, the rib eye was ordinary. 3 pastas were ordered, one was undercooked, one was very fishy and the boscaiola was nothing special. Pizza however was yummy, ordered the magherita and loved it. Garlic prawns is not what I'm used to, menu said with a dash of napolitana sauce but it was swimming in it more like it. At the end of the night we left agreeing that its a place we won't be returning to just for pizza. Food was a bit on the pricey side which wouldn't have been an issue if it were nice.

Went there tuesday night and it was quite empty. We were promptly seated and given a good amount of time to peruse the menu. Once we placed our orders our food came out quite quickly. We order marinated wagyu, marinated pork, bugolgi, pork ribs for the bbq.

Overall the meat was nice but very pricey for the amount you get. We also ordered the bimbimbap and jab chae and kimchi noodles and those were a disappointment, I've had better at the food courts. The total for the 5 of us was a little over $250 and we didn't even eat a lot considering we stopped feeling hungry waiting for the food to cook. This place is not bad but expensive for the small amount of food you get.

Let me first start off by saying that I'm not a fussy diner when it comes to service. I don't need the waiter to make me feel extra welcome or be super attentive. So long as I get to place my order within reasonable time and the order is right, I'm happy. Last night we came here with a group of 5 the place was empty except 1 person waiting to pick up takeaway.

We were seated quickly and left to peruse the menu. About 5 minutes later we were approached by a grumpy faced waitress asking to take our order, we proceed and once I was done placing my order, my partner begun to inquire about a dish to which she replied by repeating my order and totally ignoring him whom was seated directly on her left.

During our order she was pushy and hurried us even though we were the only ones there. Even at that point I was neutral, everyone has bad days. Until another group of diners entered and was greeted with smiles and welcoming gestures. Her bad day was only confined to us. At that point the other diners I was with wanted to leave because she was that awful. Anyhow I said no, we just won't come back.

Food wise we enjoyed 3 out of the 5 we ordered. The other 2 were okay but was a little bland on flavouring. This is a pity for us because its literally 5 minutes drive away but we won't be returning purely based on the fact that she made us feel like we weren't wanted there. Give it ago the food is decent just prepare for bad service.

We came on a tuesday night and other than us, there were only a couple of other people. Had I not read the reviews beforehand I would have never entered this place. Being located on busy burwood st you would think that they would make an effort to make things look more attractive or modern to people walking by. The utensils and cups also need to be upgraded in my opinion. That is probably my only complaint.

The service was great, and the food was yummy. We had crispy fried egg noodles with chicken and it was just the way we liked it. Vermicelli tofu which was also yummy. Sang tong chicken was not bad. Spicy salt pork chops wasn't spicy at all but it was okay (our least favourite dish). Tom yum goong was also good.

Overall I would recommend this place to those who don't mind where they dine so long as food is good but if you're a bit picky than this won't be for you. We had 4 dishes, small soup, 2 drinks and boiled rice for under $100.

This used to be my favourite place to go to when I want a fuss free quick meal. The 40 minutes drive there was worth it but not any more. It all started one time when we went in a group of 10 and it was a busy night, a lot of the sushi dishes came out dry and the flavour wasn't spot on and hot dishes came out barely warm.

I started exploring new joints and left this one for a while. I decided to go back a few weeks ago and this time the portions have changed, the usual california rolls and spider rolls have shrunken noticeably.

Overall after that night I have no desire to go back there again, the food lost its magic for me. I love Wagaya for the great service and touch screen ordering system but I don't think I'll be back again.

Went there not long ago after reading the reviews. It wasn't a busy night, about 20 people in the place tops. As soon as we were seated with our menus the waiter wanted to take our orders. Having never been there we asked for a few minutes to browse through the menu, however, 15 minutes later and after several attempts of trying to eye down the waiter we had to resolve to waving and calling out even though he was only 2m away 'chatting' to a table that he obviously knew.

Throughout the meal we wanted to inquire about our order but the waiter seemed to avoid eye contact. The lobster was terrible but at $30, I think I wasn't surprised. The all you can eat ribs was a bit on the dry side and when my partner asked for a little more we were left waiting for over 15 minutes and nothing. My daughter's meal came with an ice cream that also never came.

Overall the food was hit and miss but together with the horrible service I will never recommend it or go back there again. Basically we left unimpressed because we never got everything we paid for and trying to flag down the waiter to rectify this was such a mission.

Lobster - terrible. Ribs - ok, touch dry. Prawn pasta - yummy. Lamb skewers - yummy. Nugget and chips meal, don't think it had actual chicken in it.
