Recommended by the "Good food guide" we decided to try this in club restaurant out. The food was good, farily authentic, but it was the exceptional service and also the really lovely surounds. Definitely worth a visit to the really lovely Fairfield club that houses it.

As a suburban Thai restaurant this is one of the best I have eaten from. Although the restaurant does not have ambience that is really nice, the food is exceptional. Money bags are the best I have eaten anywhere, the menu is extensive and each dish has been great.

This is just the best Indian (in my opinion). Taste is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to any one who really likes Indian food. I have eaten in India and this is better by far!

I love that they have a small but well optioned Menu, they have the time then not to create 45 different sauces but a few and to perfection! Although the food remains perfect the service seems to be back to a very good level, making this a great place to dine indeed.

Love going to Pilu. This is the most relaxed place to have that special lunch or dinner. Food is as most have indicated amazing, the place is just beautiful. A must to try.

Walked in and asked for a table, we were met with a grunt and a flick of the hand. I asked if it was ok for us to eat there (thinking they might be closed) the 2 girls behind the till just continued their conversation. Could not even be bothered with customers. Rude! I walked out and won't ever go back, I can think of better ways of spending money than 2 staffs that must have failed 'service 101!' - Don't waste your time!

Amazing! What a great find this place is. We ended up here on Feb 14th, yes I totally forgot what day that was, everywhere was full, we were accommodated, however, within the shop space itself, not out the front in the mall. 20 minutes after sitting down, total power failure. The whole mall was out, and for those that know this place, there is 6 or so restaurants in the same location. Candles were produced and within 2 minutes the atmosphere was buzzing.

Gas meant the food still cooked away happily, and everyone enjoyed a candle lit dinner! The food was delicious, generous portions and amazing flavours. I had the Kaju Beef, a must! Cashew flavourings made this a wonderful treat. Vegetarians also don't miss out with 5 or so great dishes listed. What could have been a disaster ended up being one of the nicest dining out experiences I have had for a long time. I will definitely get back to the Himlayan Char Grill and book for next time! Excellent!

The food tasted great, although it was very salty, it was not until the next morning we both realised the salt must have been masking off food. We were both very ill. After the meal I did think I would like to eat there again, it was the only meal both of us had shared, on that day so does not take too much to realise the food served was not good at all. It is a shame as it was named one of the best places to eat by the good food guide. Would definitely not eat here again and have made sure several friends have not gone either!

An interesting ride from this restaurant. It is a suburban Thai place, so not expecting the world, but the quality of food has wafted from ordinary to a period of excellent to ordinary again. Shame really. The staff are great, the owner remembered your name, and what you liked, but he has moved to a new store and, unfortunately, with him the service has gone too and the taste.

Last meal from there was a duck salad, it was terrible. The duck was like trying to eat timber, bland and tough. Tomatoes were so soft they must have been on the verge of going off. It is noisy also with open front to the street. I did really love this place to eat at, but it needs its owner back to get it on the straight and narrow once again!

What a find. I am from Sydney and get to Canberra for work 3 - 4 times a year. This is definitely on my must do places each time I am in town. The food is wonderful. Prawns with spinach are exceptional, as is the Vindaloo. Service was good, with exceptional service from the host who remembered me from the previous time, as well what I ordered! Not bad at all! Great food at a good price. My mouth is watering thinking of my last meal there. I wish it was closer or a franchise was nearer to me! I will definitely be back to this great find.

One of my fav places in Sydney to eat at. I love the food here at Mamak. It is a very narrow and noisy space, but the delights that come from the kitchen are excellent. Satay is amazing, it tastes like a satay does in Malaysia. Vege dishes are swimming with flavour as does the chicken curry. I love Mamak, and will be back as much as I can.
