Arrived early in the night so the restaurant filled up as we ate. Food was great, we even reordered one of the entrees. Tables were a bit close together, had to rearrange slightly when neighbours got up. Service was snappy with a mix between spoken and written menus. No prices on the menu but end tally was reasonable for the level of food and service at $65 per head for 3 courses.

Food was excellent, very well presented with nice combinations of flavours and textures. $75 for 7 courses was good value, and the portions were the right size for a degustation, leaving us feeling sated but not stuffed or hungry.

The dining experience was top notch, waitstaff regularly checked on us, each dish was described in detail and they were quite happy to alter dishes in the set menu to accommodate my partner's allergies.

The menu changes seasonally so we'll be back to try the new spring menu.

Went on the Spreets voucher on a Saturday night. Food was below average, far below what I'd expect for what we paid, even at the discounted price. Four dishes had the same 'crab salad' in addition to the crab leg, two dishes were practically the same thing (sushi with crab salad).

Service was horribly under-staffed, took several attempts to get a refill of water. Restaurant was overfilled, barely any space between tables. Place was dark, music unnecesarily loud making it very hard to hear the curt explanation of each dish.

Honestly they may have drummed up a lot of short term business with the Spreets voucher but, judging from our experience, the expressions of the other diners and the reviews here, the liberties they had to take with the food and service to cater for it has irreparably damaged whatever reputation they had before. Won't be going back to this place.

Decent food as per our expectations, sat within 10 minutes of arriving on a fairly full Tuesday night, mains arrived within another 10 minutes. Shame the prices have gone up since our last visit though.

Food was decent as per the other reviews, however, our service was horrible. Unlike the previous reviewer we were not offered the specials at all, I only became aware of them when they were verbally described to the next table to sit after we had ordered. Queries about the menu were answered with curt one word answers rather than longer descriptions that I would expect to accompany a $32 main. This level of brevity extended to all service throughout the meal, no smiles, no attempts at even polite exchanges, no 'your welcome' to my numerous 'thank you's.

Not that it was a busy night, there were empty tables in the restaurant, and its a fairly small place. Perhaps, something about myself and/or my partner irked the staff? If it did it would have to have occurred before we sat down, because the service was consistently poor from start to finish. Despite the decent food they failed to earn even the less than 5% tip I left out of courtesy.

Will not be returning to this place, there are plenty of restaurants with similar quality food for the same price with far better service. Would not recommend this restaurant to others unless they give service a far lower weighting than I do or just have plain thicker skin, there is no telling if you may or may not have the arbitrary attribute that caused the staff to treat our table so poorly.
