Had booked a table of 12 for my husbands birthday dinner, they made a strong point of telling me we only had the table from 815pm till 1030pm, even when I received a phonecall to reconfirm the booking the day before. To the annoyance of our whole dinner party we weren't seated till 845pm, not offered a courtesy drink or even an apology while we waited outside on the curb, if I hadn't have been with such a large group we would have just left!

The other sore point was the 8% service fee for groups our size, don't mind paying it if I am getting the service and in hindsight should have asked for this to be removed seen as how we waited 1/2 for our table.

Even if the food was out of this world, which it wasn't, the dining experience was tainted due to our unpleasant greeting from a restaurant we had looked forward to experiencing months in advance. I expected more for a restaurant with so much hype.

Thank Goodness the Shire has you Seven Lanterns! Dined here last night with my husband, we were very lucky to get a last minute booking. Very friendly welcome upon arrival, wonderful ambience and the food was fantastic. The interior design is very tasteful, just like the food. We had the Royale Menu for $50.00 a head.

Our young waitress was lovely, however, originally seated us in a corner near a cheerful group of ladies celebrating a birthday....not the best place to seat a couple wanting a quiet dinner together so we asked to move to the lounge at the other end of the room and that request was accommodated without any problem. Great value for money, we will definitely return, next time might bring some friends along so we can share the love x

Wow, hadn't been to this place for a while. It was always a favourite but after last nights experience we will never go back.

The lamb was dry, we had never experienced that before here...it also had a bit of a greenish tinge to the colour for some reason, definitely wasn't up to standard and I don't think it was fresh at all. Felt a little ill this morning.
The potatoes normally have a lovely lemony flavour, didn't happen this time either, even they tasted "old".

When we have been here on previous occasions there is normally Greek people in the kitchen, they were nowhere to be seen this time. Perhaps, there has been a change in chef and kitchen staff or management, whatever the reason once bitten twice shy....won't go back again.

Have been here before but this time found the meat very salty, to the point I was crunching on salt granules. The meat was still delicious though. We had a large party of people, about 30 and it is really annoying when restaurants won't allow people to pay for their drinks as they go when you have a group this size as the host of the night always ends up out of pocket. I think they need to address this. The drink staff had a hard time servicing our group, however, the food servers did a great job.

My aunty and I took my nan here for a 80th birthday high tea celebration. The overall guest greeting and seating procedure needs to be worked on by staff, however, once seated our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had pre arranged upon booking for sparklers or candles to acknowledge my nans birthday, when our platter came out the little "birthday" extra had been forgotten, nor was it mentioned by our waiter until I quietly reminded him.

This oversight was quickly rectified and a good time was had by all. We ordered the French Champagne high tea, lots of variety for your tea selection and the finger food and champagne were better then expected.
