I have been to Garfish Crows Nest at least 20 times and must say I haven't experienced the bad service described below by other reviewers. Mostly we have had a male waiter aged 30 + and he is absolutely lovely. The food is great and have only had one bad experience, where the curry fish on current offering was very bland and watery. The waiter (male, but younger one) observantly enquired whether I liked my dish, eyeing my half eaten meal. I explained and he took it off the bill. I do agree the booking system or lack of is not ideal, but with all the choices in Crows Nest you can just head elsewhere if you don't get seated quickly.

Was taken to WAQU last night by husband for birthday dinner, it's not the first time we've been but prompted me to write this review. The food was outstanding, so elegant to look at, incredibly creative combinations and after the 6 dishes you feel full... Although that could have been helped by the matching wine menu we went for! This place really works for romantic couples and larger groups. The decor is subtle and whilst minimalistic is still warm. The staff are very pleasant and professional. It is a fabulous dining experience. As always, I will be back again to try the next seasons menu.

Had high hopes for this place, sadly not lived up to. I didn't got for the churrasco, but when you primary offering is meat you would expect the steak to be good. There was about as much fat rind on my steak as meat and was overdone, having ask for medium rare. The steak was meant to come with a potato dish of some kind, which arrived on a separate plate about 5 minutes after the steak.
The service was all over the place, with our waitress repeating back dishes incorrectly and then pouring tap water into my glass of sparkling mineral water. There was an apology, which is always nice, but no offer to replace my sparkling water. We got sat inside on a floating table for two, with the doors open and the wind blowing through, even my husband was cold which is a rarity.
It is not BYO, so makes for a more expensive outing than it should be. The place has been done up nicely and perhaps with time the service will get better. Unfortunately first impressions count for me so will not return when you can get immensely improved offerings around the corner in Crows Nest.

Extensive menu, which probably could be culled. Lots of extra menu items on separate laminated A4 paper is all a bit unnecessary. Good job my husband is decisive otherwise I'd still be flicking through the menu. Having said that the food is good, love the little duck mouthful starters and the signature cigars.
The service is okay on average, sometimes great others, not so much. Have eaten in about 5 times, but have stopped going because we just don't like the ambience. Can't quite put my finger on why, but it has something to do with the oversized and austere chairs, plus the bright lighting from the open kitchen. Have taken to occasionally ordering deliver instead, as the food is pretty good.

Has become a bit of a regular restaurant for us. The food is fantastic, in particular the fillet steak, which is the best I've had in Sydney. Beats La Grillade's steak hands down. Staff are super friendly and service to match. They do a great breakfast as well.

Love Small Bar! Fabulous setting, great wines, friendly staff and my new food favorite the lamb backstrap goes perfectly with a cone of chips.

Food immense - different and delicious. Decor in the main area a little bright but the back rooms with low sofas are unusual and perfect for a celebration.

Love this place. Not glamorous but on all other fronts is a real winner. The food is fantastic and I'm with the earlier reviewer on the Mysore shilli chops - gorgeous. Staff are friendly and highly efficient. Can get really busy but that just reflects how good it is!

Food nice but a little pricey. Venue stylish but a little uncomfortable. Service slow but enjoy the atmosphere. Okay overall. If you are going as a couple, get a table of four on the right as you enter which is much more comforable and quiet romantic.

The pizzas for takeaway are simply fantastic. But, oh dear I have never experienced such bad service as in the cafe itself. We've been there three times for brunch but basically the service and food have been so terrible. Food and sides never arrives at the same time. Just go for the pizzas.
