Any cook should know that a tepid pot of tea will not steep and I expect more than a teabag in any over priced restaurant. King Prawns Taramosalata was excellent, alas the evening went down hill from there. The gently seared Scaloppini would have been delightful if it had not waited over an hour to reach the table. Perhaps, the extended wait is the reason it arrived at the table only a little above room temperature.
A rocky relic from Sandy Stone's Moonee Ponds cottage kitchen is not a suitable seat waiting for such long periods so it is just as well the place has a decent view with which to pass the time. I chose not to have a pre-dinner wine, which meant that I almost had to crash tackle a waiter to get a glass of wine with my dinner. 5 star price, 2 star restaurant. Very disappointed.

Great coffee, probably the best on the Northern Beaches and it's "free trade" coffee (see Oxfam for details on this). The menu includes items suitable (and customised) for the food sensitive, and chef maintains an interesting variety without compromising quality. Service is friendly yet not imposing and the whole team's smiles are sincere. The atmosphere is serene yet lively with the heated cafe overseen by Buddha and the Alfresco area open to Whale Beach fresh air.
