This place is busy. The pace was a little too fast. We had entrees to start, which were brought out promptly. The main courses came out as soon as the empty plates were removed. We had 5 dishes to share between 5 of us. Food was great. I especially enjoyed the fish. Dessert was ordered. And to my disappointment the bill was on the table as soon as the dessert plates were removed. We spent $75 p/p including drinks, but was out of the restaurant within 1 hour 15 minutes.
This is Long Grain, not a restaurant on Victoria St.

My girlfriend arrived first and as I was running late, I ordered a glass of champagne. "Same as what she is having". I noticed later on the bill that I actually was served a glass of french champagne at $25. My girlfriend had ordered an Australian champagne. Am not happy about that.

Service was attentive, but very stern. She did not smile once. When she was going through the menu with us, I felt like she was memorizing and reading the menu out loud to us. She was very cold. Food was good, a little over priced. Noticed they have one of the best coffee machine around so couldn't resist to order coffee. Very disappointed, certainly need a good barista and not a bar tender making coffee.

Wide selection of Wagyu beef cuts to DIY just the way it is done in Japan. If you are after authentic Yakiniku- Japanese BBQ, Takumi is a must. But before you do the grill, starters are a must. The beef tataki- Takumi's special just melts in your mouth. Big selection of premium sake, have it chilled not warm.
