I've eaten here twice, once had the banquet, the other time a la carte. Both times very happy with the food, the service and the ambience. No, it's not a '5-star restaurant' but it doesn't have the price tag that goes with that! What it is is a very decent little local restaurant, with a 'hands on' owner, which turns out very good food at a very good price. I've never had better tabbouleh, zingy with lemon and mint, and fresh, fresh, fresh! The banquet came over a period of time, and was plenty of food for the two of us, we couldn' have eaten another thing. I'd happily return, and will.

I've found this place inconsistent. I used to eat there occasionally and though it made good pizza, but then went off. A friend of mine says they still do, but not when I've been there. My experience makes me think they've become overhyped and overrated, so I doubt I'd go back. Last time I ordered a takeaway pizza), it was almost stone cold when I arrived 5 minutes later, and quite awful.
But my friend bought one from there recently and said they don't start cooking them until you arrive, and it was wonderful, so, perhaps, they've changed. But the memory of that stone cold one has lingered long.

Ate here for the first time recently and was very happy with the whole evening. Food excellent, exquisitely presented of the 'large plate, small helping' type, but with the great bread and oil supplied beforehand, who minds? Everything we had was superb, and the rhubarb souffle was an absolute high point. Odd idea, worked beautifully. I nearly had to fight my partner for the duck confit entree wth duck done several different ways.
And then there were the shellfish tortellini in a delicately flavoured broth. Good wines too, with a fine selection of red and white, both by the glass. I'll be back. We wanted somewhere 'a bit nice', with a view, to have a good celebration dinner. Our table on the balcony was just right, you overlook the river, the trees and across to the city lights.
We got just what we'd sought, and enjoyed the overall evening immensely.

I've eaten here many times over the last couple of years, and always been happy. Great little place, I wish it were my local. Find it hard to go past the pizzas, though occasionally I've had something else. Never been unhappy. I prefer the front room where I can usually find a table (the back one's definitely low on the ambience scale). Terrific value for money, and nice thin crust pizzas. You can pay a lot more for pizza than you do here, and have a much, much worse pizza. This place gets my vote and my regular custom.
