I was introduced to Sebastian the owner when dining at Chedi Thai in Newtown. I knew that the recommendation had to be good coming from the owner of Chedi. I go to Bar Mattino at least once a week and try to make it on Sundays for the roast. They really deliver way beyond your expectations for a cafe.

I don't know why Pizza E Birra doesn't have a higher score, as I thought this was a stand out restaurant. Great design and ambience, good service and delicious food. What else could you ask for?

Chedi Thai is on King St, Newtown where you can find so many Thai restaurants, but Chedi is the best by far. I went for dinner before a show at The Vanguard, which is quite close. There was 10 of us and we didn't have a lot of time. The staff were great and made sure our meals came out fast. Everything was so delicious. During our meal I noticed some music industry execs, so I guess this is the place to eat for music industry types. I am going to a concert at the Enmore in April and have already booked a table. Wish Chedi had a branch in Bondi.

At Chedi Restaurant we attract a lot of diners who are either attending a gig or performing at one of the venues in the Newtown / Enmore precinct. Please let our staff know if you have limited time and we will make sure the service coincides with your schedule. Because we have 10 parking spaces, many diners park with us, eat and run or drive to the show; without the hassle of finding a parking spot.
A Chedi in Bondi would be nice but at present we are not looking to expand.
