Went for a lunch, this place is a real hidden gem with amazing views of the beach and off the touristy hustle and bustle of main road. I'm not sure what the go is with table service or you go up and order and pay but I think you order and pay. Table service would be nice but what can you do.

The menu is pretty extensive, I had the chicken piri piri which was very tasty, I thought the aioli for the chips could have been a bit thinner. The chips themselves were big thick cut home made chips and tasted fantastic. Overall I thought it was good, the price for the serving size/quality was reasonable and I'd come back.

Dropped in to Wild Sage on a whim which was silly. From the outside the place looks nice and the prices would have you expecting you are going to get some delicious food. My fiance had the swimmer crab pasta and I had the meatballs. Both dishes were bad. The meatballs were cold in the middle and tasted like they had been reheated just barely. The sauce tasted bought in and the whole dish was cold but hot in places like I suspected it had been microwaved in parts.

My fiance's swimmer crab had a horrible dish water taste. No restaurant should be serving meals like this let alone when the prices are this high. Sorry but this feels like another place with a slick exterior thinking they can charge prices like this because of where they are.

We dined at Quay in a group of eight. At arrival everything was fantastic, the staff were pleasant taking our coats and smiling but professional. We had a table near the window overlooking the opera house which was nice but the layout was not as intimate as Tetsuyas.

The first waiter that arrived and explained the dining options told us we had the option of the 4 course menu or the 8 course tasting menu. Having already looked online we had already decided on the four course while the rest of the table wanted the tasting menu.

Firstly, we were told we couldn't mix the menu's so we were forced into the tasting plate, then were told later it would have been fine to have the four course. Not happy about that and after the meal wished we had the four course.

The food started with the sashimi combination I found it to be good but definitely not great there was nothing there that made me think it was amazing. Just an ok combination of flavours.

Next was a very purple rhubarb/beetroot, purple carrot etc salad, once again tasted ok but nowhere near memorable, some of the ingredients were tough to cut to eat and while ok not fine dining standard.

This was the tone of the meal throughout the dinner, nothing popped out as being amazing no dish except maybe the pig jowl was really great. For some reason a common theme through the meal was puffed rice, as if someone has poured some breakfast cereal onto the dish and thats exactly what it tasted like. A few at the table commented on that.

The two courses of dessert were the jackfruit snow egg, I initially liked it but soon the ice surrounding it became overpowering and the whole experience far too sweet, the second dessert which was massive had me thinking I needed an insulin shot another very overpowering dish. Most of the table including me didn't finish it.

All up I thought our meal was not great, none of the dishes barring the pig jowl do I think I will remember, the food really let this place down, for the money there are Much better fine dining establishments in Sydney.

We attended a friend birthday and had about 20 people at our table. At $75/head I was expecting great things but this was not the case. Michael came out before the meal and explained that the communal sharing was the Italian family way of eating which sounded great but when the food arrived it was ok at best.

The first dish was roast lamb which was very fatty and nowhere near enough the four guys and I sitting at that part of the table were all eyeing off the last piece of lamb after a few small mouthfuls. It was the same for the rest of the dishes. I bet at Italian family sharing dinners the family does not leave feeling like they have not eaten very much.

The atmosphere was good, although the music was very loud and it was hard to hear anyone talking. The service was never with a smile, the wait staff looked like they were not happy being there at all.

All up I definitely will not be back, for $75 per head I could have got better food with drinks and not left hungry from somewhere else. I feel like the rely on the gimmicky number you have to call and the great sticky bar upstairs to make it "cool" enough that they think they can save money on their portions and then charge a fortune. Sorry guys not the way it works.

Just had dinner and a few beers here, what a great place! So much better than the atrocious Bavarian Bier Cafe across the road. The service and staff were friendly, the food was a good portion and tasty. The atmosphere was brilliant, live music, great beers, what more can I say we are organising a group to go back another night.

Bad, had dinner with a group of people I had not met but were friends of my girlfriend so didn't want to make a scene. The service was terrible, the food portions tiny and tasted not much better than what you would get at an RSL or local take out. At prices like this I left feeling angry that I had been ripped off. Never be back.

This is one of my local favorites, in recent times the food has changed a little for the worse I think but it is still great and the atmosphere and the beers are Awesome. I love this place, especially when finishing work early and going for a beer in the big windows on the road. A little taste of Belgium here in Sydney.

Wagaya is my favourite restaurant in town at the moment, we never need to try too hard to find an excuse to go there. The concept of ordering off the screens so you don't have to choose everything you want at once is brilliant! The atmosphere is a fantastic cross of traditional and lots and lots of fun. The food is excellent, I highly recommend the octopus pancake and the grilled salmon and scallop sushi rolls, both are incredible!

Expected some great beer and great pub food here. However, the chicken schnitzel was dry and deep fried, and most people were disappointed with their meals. Like most of the hunter valley it was overpriced and under quality. The beer was nothing to write home about either.
