Don't know what a lot of people expect from a thai dining experience, the service is poor but the food is excellent. Great flavours, great atmosphere and very well priced.
Came with a group of 4, BYO which is excellent and cheap corkage. Stayed all night, enjoyed the food and will be back. Pork belly was superb, if a little spicey!

Having heard a lot of hype we decided to give Jamies a go. Being British I understand his rise to fame as a hyped tv chef as opposed to someone know for the produce on a plate.
The food was nice, nothing special and certainly not better than the numerous good authentic italians in Sydney. Always busy so a good buzz, but the product is below par for the pricing and not really worth it. I had the truffle risotto. Average at best. Not much truffle at all, in fact possibly none.
Wouldn't return, but thats exactly what they expect. A tourist trap that doesn't rely on repeat custom.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Having been seated at our table not even a full minute, a waitress was trying to push us for a food order. In the ten minutes it took to get two bottles of wine we did order to the table, 5 separate wait staff tried to get a drinks order.
The calamari is straight out of a packet, and tastes of nothing. The beef was vile, it must have been deep fried as it was crispy on the outside (even though ordered rare) and it tasted of fish. Upon complaining the "senior staff" he said ‘that’s how it’s supposed to be’, arguing with my friend who is a head chef. When the food was returned (I have never returned any food ever) to the kitchen all the "chefs" stood round prodding the steak looking baffled.
The senior staff laughed in my face when I complained, said that nothing was wrong with the food even though it tasted like fish and was clearly off, and "it can't be that bad if only two out of three having beef returned it". Missing the point that the majority of those eating it sent it back. He thought he was doing me a favour by not charging me for food we didn’t eat and couldn’t understand how we were unhappy with a meal that bordered on unsafe.
I wouldn’t dream of eating here again, the food is disgusting, the pricing is well off for the standard, the staff are poor and the management doesn’t have a clue. I don’t think a single person working in the kitchen has any sort of chef experience other than probably rising through a different establishment as a kitchen hand.

What an amazing location and an excellent little restaurant that we discovered returning to the city from the fish market. The outside seating and views over the water to Balmain on a sunny day make for a great relaxing spot to spend an afternoon.
On top of that a diverse wine list and exciting menu make for a fantastic meal. I started with the Carpaccio which melted in my mouth, while my partner enjoyed the trout. For mains we had the beef and the barramundi, again we were not let down, it was delicious!
The service was prompt but unobtrusive and after eating we retired to the bar/lounge area to finish our wine. We look forward to our next visit.

Was in the Commodore at the weekend and was blown away with the changes! Firstly the obvious renovations that make the commodore a very pleasant place to drink, secondly the food was great, having browsed the menu we decided to stay for food and were not disappointed. The servings were large but not at the expense of quality, the steak cooked to perfection and the side salad very nice, my friends were all very happy with their food and the service was unobtrusive. The bar staff looked after us fantastically, were very friendly and were more than happy to recommend wine to accompany the food. Noticed in the menu lots of great deals running and will be back to sample the cocktails on a Thursday night!
