In our past visits to Paradoxe, we once were sitted next to the entrance to the toilets and it was not nice at all with the smell of the toilets complimented our meal. Now Paradoxe has made it to the New South Wales health department's "name and shame" website for having two violations due to unclean kitchen confirmed our suspicion that hygiene at this restaurant is not up to par. They have raised the price on the set menu and it's not good deal in addition to below average quality of food. We shall not be back for sure.

Name is Sun Sun now but they maintain the same good standard of foods as previous Ten Sun. For a simple food and noodle bar prices are reasonable, and you can get in and out quick without any delay so super for a quick meal.

Nothing special and even their supposedly famous "Har Mein" failed to impress us. I believe there was a change of ownership and cook maybe that explains the downfall of To's.

We tried a few more times and still thought this is an expensive restaurant for the small portion of dishes you get. All in all, food is average but definitely overpriced, and there are many nice and cheaper Japanese restaurants offer BYO wine in Neutral Bay and Crows Nest area.

Food was ok though no fault, but was not as good as some hype over the food in this website. Service was quite good and servers were friendly and no problems with re-filling of breads. However, it's not BYO wine and the entrees and mains are basically overpriced so I would say the value is low.

Consistently good food and good service. Tempura prawns are excellent so as the Sushi prepared by the same Sushi chef who had been there since we started eating at Fuuki some four years ago. With an experienced sushi chef, I suspect is a partner of the restaurant, the quality of sushi always stay high. BYO wine is a plus.

We also experienced dry rice, overcooked cheese, tasteless enchiladas. The cheese and enchiladas were actually glued to the plate and formed lumpy mess which was not appealing at all. Service was non existent due to short staff on a Monday night, even you get your own drinks at the bar. It's cheap but not quality. It's not good Mexican food.

We agree with comments from JNAT that recently we found the quality of food has slipped so it's not an off night thing. We suspected they have changed chefs and sometimes it might not be a good thing. It'd happened to a place now closed "Indian Ocean" when the owner decided to cook himself not wanting to pay the chefs and see what happened to both his restaurants (another was the Indian Cafe near corner of Pacific Hwy & Shirley Road).

Hope "Last Train" can get their act together as they used to have very good food. For the moment, we just have to stick to our other favourite Malaba across the road which is still very good and the quality of foods is very consistent.

The previous post's comment was absolutely right that the gyoza and kara-age (Japanese style fried chicken) aren't quite up to scratch but said still pass. Nevertheless Ramen noodles are the star of this place! It's authenic Japanese noodles like you found in Tokyo in this "hole in the wall" place in Crows Nest.

The place is extremely busy and accepts no booking therefore you must go either early or late to avoid a long wait. I seen once there were 20 people waiting outside in the cold temperature as the place is so small no waiting area inside. Tell you how popular is this place and many customers are Japanese tell you they know Japanese Ramen!

We have been eating at Sushi Samurai for years and always happy with their food, price, and service. We went last night to their new location in the same building, the dining room was much bigger and nicer than before and the service was still excellent with a smile.

However, we found the quality of sushi went down hill appears they have a different sushi cook from before (we didn't expect sushi chef indeed require years of experience, as in Samurai kitchen are young Japanese), the grilled sushi we used to love was a major disappointment. And the sushi rice ball was so huge like the low quality Korean sushi train shops. But, have to say the other Japanese dishes are still nice and they maintained the good standard though. Hope they change to a better sushi cook soon but we still will come back!
