Went here with a group of 7 on a wednesday night. This place has a huge capacity, and was quite busy with wait staff running around clumsily and hastily.(I saw two meals hit the floor during the evening).

The menu is overwhelming... so much to choose from and the actual menu is physically so big that you cannot see over it (think A2 size). From the menu, the food seems quite pricy ($30-$40 per main). But when the food arrives it becomes clear. The meals are served on platters and one serving is enough for 2. They should really warn you about how big the meals are to avoid unnecessary wastage.

I found it strange that orders for entrees and mains were not taken at the same time. The waitress dashed off after we ordered entrees which was bruschetta pizza and garlic pizza to share. The pizzas were not spectacular, but tasty enough.

Our orders for mains were taken when our pizzas arrived. As such, we waited over an hour for mains to be served. All the meals looked impressive (and huge), but in actual fact were not amazing. Pizza was undertopped and salty, ravioli was bland, lamb cutlets were tasty and served with mountains of vegies, pastas were oversized and underflavoured.

Service was average, and we had to keep flagging someone down to order more drinks. On a positive note, it was pleasing that they were happy to pack leftovers into a doggy bag for us.

Although we all ordered coffees at once, they arrived in dribs and drabs before and after desserts were served. It appeared that the kitchen and bar did not coordinate very well.

If you are going to visit Crinitis, don't expect to duck in for a quick dinner. You will need at least 3 hrs. I would think twice about dining here again.

We recently enjoyed a meal at Escarpment whilst spending a weekend in the Blue Mountains. In contrast to the very average pizza we shared at the pub next door the night before, the quality of the food here was excellent.

We started with dinner rolls which were served warm and crusty. We then enjoyed the spatchcock served with a side of potato bake and beans and the mussels which came with a serve of fresh crispy french fry style chips. Both mains were very tasty and as described on the menu. We also had a bottle of wine (BYO was a bonus) and finished our meal off nicely with some coffees. Portion sizes were sufficient and we felt the prices to be fair.

The service was friendly, efficient and polite. Although the dining area is small, and it was full (always a good sign) the noise level was not bad and we could hold a conversation across the table easily. A nice decor and ambience with some local scenery displayed on the walls...just so you don't forget where you are. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
